Nothing makes me want to cleave heads more than bagpipes... except trashy women playing heavy metal bagpipes!

Do you ever wonder though... back in the day... like 1300's forward... were there any renegade musicians who played anything like "modern" music as they strove to break through the stereotypical music path everyone walked? As long as music has existed with humanity, it always strikes me as strange for it to have taken so long to take a new form, a new composition like modern style.

I don’t know about “modern music” but it’s the nature of musicians to experiment and push boundaries. Mozart and Beethoven both were radical composers in their day. I doubt that there was a medieval lute player knocking out Jimi Hendrix like riffs, but am certain that there were countless variations we don’t know about because they weren’t recorded.

It's an entertaining thought to ponder... music has so many expressive means... must have happened at least a few times ;-)

Sounds like the soundtrack from an old Japanese samurai movie or an anime like Naruto or based in the old Samurai times. Surreal but very beautiful

World class musicians... the drummer... she smiles knowingly, that's the only word I can attach to her. Knowingly.
