WGing  why are you buffing the weekly operations to the point you can not win them?  I was hoping you didnt touch this weeks mission like you did last weeks, but nope.  People playing them has dropped off  so you can now just retire the developers who worked on them because they are useless for a random player even to try. GG WGing

WG clearly felt they were too easy to farm, but instead of minor changes, they simply took a sledgehammer to them...:Smile_teethhappy:

Hermes is ok, feels like I remember it being. Granted I only use Lyon and Richelieu for Hermes Operation since I do not have any tier 7-8 Allied Cruisers.

Atlanta, easy. Next.

Lol today Atlanta was getting focused and sunk despite the BB vanguard in the front and on each flank of the convoy....

The ATL is for all tier 7 operational needs lol, She has become the Operations specialist for all tier 7 operations. First choice for me too

Hermes is the same, same spawns, same ships, same exit areas.  That also means the same cruiser players who overextended and died before to focus fire from the bots, do the SAME exact thing now.  The same players that quit escorting the BB Ruan off the map and left it naked and unprotected to die at the end of the OP are doing the same thing they did before.  No change detectable in Hermes at all from my eyes.

The reworked tier 7 OP from last week must have been a preview of hard mode that  they accidentally released and just watched to see what the results were.  All other OP's were and are playing the same.

Never played it last time because of so many negative comments, and my not particularly liking Final Frontier...

...wonder if it’ll even be worth trying now...

The irony is extreme...

...what is supposed to be a ‘French-centric’ operation, being swarmed by a machine-gunning USN cruiser...

Yep, typical WG adjustment.

A month from now, when they see no one playing Operations/Scenarios anymore, they will slightly tweak it back to where it was, making it majorly annoying instead of impossible.

Hey WG! Ever hear of making a game FUN?

...yet so beautiful. Speaking of machine gun cruisers, Helena too in the not too distant future.

I remember this operation. I usually get 7 to 12 kills daily on avg. Those red BBs shoot rail guns to your citadels I do remember that, over all its a fun ( but difficult) Operation.

In my estimation, the bot hit list for ops and coop is destroyers, then Atlantas, then everything else.

Hopefully...

IJN anecdotal accounts aside, I’ve heard rumblings here in the forums that her rof may be ‘somewhat less’ than historical...

yup...BOT DDs are kinda uncanny in their torp accuracy.  Its like BOT torps have curving trajectory to compensate for silly humans that try to dodge their torps.

Which is fascinating as the opposite side of the coin -- i.e. humans driving DDs in operations -- is just about the same as having an AFK ship or an empty team slot.

Play operations\scenarios -- bring your high DPM cruisers please.

I really do think they need to introduce the difficulty levels ASAP - it is impossible to design an operation easy enough for below average players to enjoy while not being a pure farming action for the better players.

I don’t think that Hermès was changed,,same as always..

the final frontier has much changed bots.. dodge incoming shots, ,, fire from smoke, turn in when targeted...

i think that space battles dilutes the pool of stronger players in operations battles....thus the losses... destroyers are very hard in the t7 battles..most die early..

The problem I had in Ultimate Frontier wasn't of focus-fire (which the bots are doing much better), it was two things:

1. The angles that you were forced to fire against were atrocious - mostly nose-in charging ships, and they're incredibly hard to hit. It's not really possible to get into better positions to shoot, either, as the complete random nature of where new ships showed up means that anything other than being relatively central meant you'd get cut off, focus-fired, and nuked in short order if you tried that.

2. I'm pretty sure there's a accuracy debuff going on. After playing a dozen of this op, I can state with some certainty that there's no way the dispersion and inaccuracy was due to bad RNG.  Even broadside targets at 10km regularly ended up with well under 50% hit rates, and I'm a very good shot normally. Note I'm not talking about the damage I do, just the raw ability to land shots, and that's dropped through the floor compared to the prior incarnations.

The result is that the effectiveness of your own fire has dropped drastically - my bet is in half. Combined with probably a 50% increase in the bot's effectiveness, that's a bit too much of an advantage.

You have to play a DD in Scenerio just like in Co-Op, you get get Toros Aimee then deselect your target, then fire. That way the bots do not realize you fired Torps. Still a lot easier to use CA or BB though.

Yup, I was that Atlanta. Citadeled by three different BBs, and easily killed. Think I will have to bring the Payfast to the next one, even though Atlanta is better.

Think if you wanted Atlanta style of firepower you will need Flint of Belfast so you can smoke and let enemy have it, because there are good smoke points where team has to slow down and just fight for couple minutes or so.

I noticed before space battles the levels of skilled players was dropping in scenarios, actually threw out the game, but way more noticable  in scenarios.
