Nation specific background music

I'm not sure whether it has already been discussed. My apologies if it has. I thought of this idea in the bathtub (yes really) , after a long session of WoT listening to the same generic music over and over again. What if - depending on which nation's ship you select to play - that music specific to that nation might be randomly played during the match.

 

So you could be sailing around in HMS Hood slugging it out with IJN Nagato when 'Rule Britannia' starts playing in the background. Or maybe you could be kicking [edited] in a soviet battleship for the glory of mother Russia to the tune of the Russian national anthem.

 

 

Imagine sailing your Yamato with this in the background.

 

It'd certainly make a nice change from the usual generic music found in WoT, and I for one would certainly want to sink more Americans. :Smile_teethhappy:

Jokes aside i think it is a fantastic idea, that would not be too hard to make part of later patches.

I would recommend an orchestral rendition of each nation's folk songs, like what World of Tanks did with Polye Polyushko.

So if Wargaming did put in nation specific music, what sort of stuff would you suggest from the different navies?

This topic is switching between being on and off topic like trying to look inside of a departing subway while standing on the station platform!

 

Let me attempt a retailing operation (my second train metaphor of the post....) by saying that naval marches like the United States Navy's "Anchors Aweigh" would probably need to be slowed in tempo to a degree before they could be included. Good video game music MUST mach the pacing of the action on screen!

I have a feeling WoWS will have similar "hangar" system as WoP and WoT.  Both are just same and WoWS might follow.  This means, your "hangar" will basically include all nations, therefore nation specific music in hangars probably will not happen.

 

Unless I'm wrong, I'm saying don't hold your breath for nation-specific music in hangar.
