Are there any upcoming tournaments planned for WoW?

I see on the EU website, they have this upcoming:

League of the Sea

To satisfy your hunger for more competitive content, the League of the Sea will also be back following the current Clan Battles season! Compete at Tier VIII in 9 vs. 9 or 7 vs. 7 battles with your team and snatch up prizes. Check out the announcement on the forums for details!

Would be nice to see, both random and pre-made teams, Tournaments use to be a lot of fun when WoT NA had them.

Thanks!

Not contests, but Tournaments run by WG.  World of Tanks had them forever and they paid out Gold (Doubloons) to the winners.

Supremacy hasn't died, it's just undergone some changes, we're working with the KOTS to have the competitions be similar on both the EU and NA.

League of the Sea isn't taken seriously on EU lul

What is this even supposed to mean? Oh you're from the clan ZR; a clan of egoistical weirdos, liars and hypocrites. Move along then.

Thanks all, I was asking about a more casual tournament system, run by Wargaming.

In WoT they would have weekly, even daily tournaments that were different maps, different amount of players on each team (1v1, 3v3, 5v5, etc..) and some were the type that you organized a team (with 1 or 2 "Reserves") and signed up, others were randomly generate teams (picked by WG).  They would last 1-2 hours tops and that was it.  Gold (Doubloon) payouts for the top 3 places, you would usually have 5-8 teams in your bracket and could win 250-1000 gold and were a great way to have some competitive team play without a major commitment of the serious leagues that went on for days and days, etc.....you just signed up for the ones you could make.  In-game you would get a popup window about 10 min before your match started and you would ready up and the tournament battle would launch.  The WG servers kept track of the results/scores.

Just a thought to bring another option to WoW, thanks for all your hard work guys, great game and great community!
