First I apologize for posting in the general, but my post in the correct sub forum did not get many views

I am looking for a CV player who is new to playing CVs

I can be your AA help from tier 5 to tier 8

I am usually available at night weekdays and all day on weekend.

Please PM me if you are interested.

All skills welcome.

I do NOT care your win rate, etc..

---

I CAN help you to win more and compensate your skill difference.

I CANNOT give you direct guidance on how to play CV, though I DO have some tutorial to recommend.

Why am I doing this?

Quote:

"The problem is that:

having a DD dropdead in the first 3 min ==> Win rate decrease by 3-5% depending on the # of DDs

having a CA dropdead in the first 3 min => negligible impact game. (~1%)

having an AFK BB player ==> negligible impact on game (1% or so on win rate)

having a inferior CV ==> 10-20% reduction on chance of winning this round before the game even starts

If you look at stats in genreal, it is more likely to find a CV with ~80% win rate than a BB with such win rate. This fact tells you how big an impact a CV can bring!

Nobody is trying to prevent you from practicing, but your bad performance is a big negative impact on the rest 11 teammates, and no other class can bring such a huge impact.

My suggestion: if you suck at playing CV, please team up with at least one AA-strong ship to help you on air defense.

If you can't find one, I can help you. (tier 5-8)"

Thanks for posting this.

I myself cringe anytime I need to play one of my CV's which is why my top CV"s are at tiers V and VI rather than the Tier VII's and VIII's which are more common for my other types.

The one piece of advice that I'd give you is to pretty much remove almost everything of what you are posting after the words "Why am I doing this?" Up until this point you are coming across as a guy who wants to and is willing to help, but after that point, it all goes way downhill.

What you are essentially saying is that if you are a CV player and you suck, you are damaging the other 11 players on the team and while I can't give you any advice on how not to suck, I can at least give you some AA cover so you don't suck quite as badly.   I'm only making this offer, not because I believe I can help you be better but because "Nobody is trying to prevent you from practicing, but your bad performance is a big negative impact on the rest of the 11 teamates and no other class can bring such a huge impact" and maybe if you are playing with me, you won't screw over the rest of your team quite as badly.

You aren't really offering to actually help these players, you're trying to help the other 11 people on the team which are getting their win rates messed up because of those bad CV players.

If I am a struggling CV player, the last thing in the world I want is to team up with someone who's going to look at me like that.  It's like pouring on the honey and immediately following it up with a barrel of spoiled vinegar.

If you posted this to make a point, I think you've managed that which might explain why the crickets are chirping in another thread.  If you actually want to help someone, then do something that is actually going to help them

Best of luck with this.

It is a realistic offer with no pun intended.

I've seen many CV players struggle to win at those mid tiers because the enemy plays better.

I assume that they still want to advance fast in tiers and do want to win.

If they don't have help from someone like me they are likely to lose 60% of the time and that's not fun.

Playing in co-op isn't as helpful as playing in random.

I am merely offering a safer platform for practicing.

Thanks, but your CV skill is above average.

My intention is to help those who really need help.

I have only played a few CV's, up to independence on USN line and tier 5 on the IJN line.

I have been mostly playing them in co op and pcassionally pvp, and would appreciate any advice, guidance, etc.

I will however, not appreciate power leveling without actually learning something too.

Keep in mind in this game, CVs need no escort. It is up to the CV to protect itself, not its escort. That escort is needed at the front because for every one ship escorting a CV, is one ship not fighting and defending the ships that truly need that AA, BBs.

Seriously, good on your mate for seeing a problem and actually taking action to try and help the problem. Most people just complain and want someone else to fix it, but here you are putting yourself out there to do work and fix it. The world needs more people like you! :cap_like:

I tried my first manual torpedo drop yesterday...I literally torped an island. Red ship wasn't even close.

I wish I was making that up.

Manual Aim takes time. I suggest learning how to adjust the auto-aim (rotation). Once you get that, it makes manual aim easier.
