The following are a list of premium ship ideas. Some are more serious than others. Please place additional ideas in the thread below.

1. IJN Atlanta (Perhaps called "Maya" after the AA armed takao class?)
Take an atago, replace every primary and secondary gun on her with the type 98 (the duck gun), drop her down to T7 to play with the atlanta and flint.
Consumables: Damecon, DFAA, Heal.

2. Verniy
This one's simple, and has a historical basis. Akatsuki hull, Russian guns.
3x2 130mm guns on an akatsuki would be a dream come true. Throw on the 8km lenningrad torpedoes, and you have yourself an instant purchase from me.
Xopowo.

3. Agano
One of the last IJN light cruiser designs (only succeeded by Ooyodo), she was essentially a large destroyer, with centerline mounted torpedoes in an 2x4 layout. She was also armed with 3x2 152 mm dual purpose main battery, as well as 2x2 76mm dual purpose secondaries. I'd imagine her to be a good T6 premium for those of us who play a little too much kuma and Yuubari.

4. Houston
A Northhampton class heavy cruiser, who was famed for fighting a full IJN fleet alongside the perth. The Northhampton class was incredibly similar to the Pensacola class cruiser, save for the fact that they kept their torpedoes, and made use of a 3x3 layout, instead of a 2x3+2x2 layout. Can the galloping ghost get some love?

5. Hatsushimo
the Hatsuharu class originally had a rather interesting design, with another forward firing single turret, for a total of 6 guns. It'd be quite interesting to see a proper IJN gunboat at lower tiers.

6. Mogador
Unless this is a planned ship for the french destroyer line, in which case, disregard the following. What do you get when a french engineer looks at the design for the la fantastique, says "this is great, but... it could really use more guns", and follows through on it? The french equivalent of the khabarovsk. Essentially la fantastique with 8x2 of the french 139 mm guns I don't even know what tier this would be at.

7. Samuel B. Roberts
Just another Tier 2 premium, would be some good fun for lower tiers. I don't even care if it's bad, they cost basically nothing and there's good history behind this one.

8. Some unholy fusion of a battleship and a destroyer.

Probably just for april fools.

Northampton's didn't keep their torpedoes.

The Louisville would be another good choice for a Premium Northampton, and is perhaps more distinguished than the Houston, for among many reasons, being the command ship leading the charge at Leyte Gulf when the veterans of Pearl Harbor fought the last BB vs BB fight in history. She helped sink one of the BBs.

She also differs from Houston in having a taller rear mast structure sense she was built to lead task forces.

I submitted a proposal for her + a captain and event commemorating Leyte Gulf and the battles there about a month ago.

You get the Languedoc, a Normandie premium I put up in a thread earlier. Why settle for an 8-10 gun broadside when you could have 20:

[French engineers came up with a vertical gun turret turn systemtm to allow all turrets to turn--bien sûr!]

Somebody posted a picture of USN BB Wyoming after it had been converted into a DD gunnery training ship.  All the big @$$ed 12-inch gun turrets were removed and a bunch of twin and single turret 5-inch gun turrets were added to the ship.

Add 5kts of speed to the thing and sell it as a T4 or T5 weirdo-DD-BB premium

In #8 the barbette would extend down through the bottom of the hull about as far as it does above the deck, adding lots of vertical stability and yet lots of drag.

In order to offset that a much larger power plant would be needed, requiring a larger hull to hold it - and the magazine for the gun.

Voila, you have something completely different!

Mogador has being said to be a potential tier 10 french DD a fair bit over my few years surfing the forums along with the fact that this is not the 1st time it has being judged as a french verson as the Khaba.

3. I'd like this for the IJN as I like Yubari and Kuma.

4. We can always use more US ships.

5. I like the Hatsuharu and would love a gunboat version.

7. I proposed a T2 Sammy B in this other thread. Make a scenario out of the Battle of Samar (Taffy 3).

I think it’s a great idea, extreme fire spam st T5. No. Seriously.

This would make for a funny premium, only problem is the AA those guns would have. No CV wants a T5 Atlanta, I would totally buy this thing.

Well this isn't about what a CV wants. Texas is a thing, why not this? Currently, while I fully understand that T4 and 5 are learning grounds for CV play, there is a lack of meaningful AA in the lower-mid tiers ships. Make it a T6 so it sees plenty of 8s and 7s, along with CVs that are now able to manual drop. Doesn't have to get wedged into 5.

Only with buffed concealment and Gearing reload, as well as good AA but no DFAA.

A destroyer escort built in 1944 fighting ships that served in the 1910s?

Ok...

though I will say, a ship like #8 did exist.

More of a CL/BB fusion. Only 8 kts. Makes the Katori seem like a speedboat.

Let me blow your mind, then: The tier 1s range from 1938-1950 designs.

It's not just when it was built, or else Russia's tier 8 cruiser would be Kirov.

Yes because a ship from 1940's is playing ships from 1900's

It's not the year it was built but the capabilities of the ship that determines its tier.

two 5-inch guns and 3 21-inch torpedoes on a 1300-ton hull is hardly tier 10 material.

Any "Porter" in the game must be the USS William D Porter (DD-579) with associated uncontrollable torpedo launching and penchant for ramming allies.
