Are the tasks in these missions the ones that need to be completed to acquire the collectables for the new IJN camos?

How long is this campaign available?

Yes.  Indefinitely.

Well, as indefinitely as Missouri was in the tech tree. I wouldn't leave it for forever if I haven't finished it

Indefinitely is one of those words that takes on new meaning when WoW uses it, LOL!

There is a Yamamoto Isoroku collection, which is what gets you the camo, and the Yamamoto Isoroku campaign, which gets you the unique commander and which has to be completed in order to unlock the collection. There are no tasks with the collection, and you get the different collectibles by opening containers. The tasks/missions are associated with the campaign.

Indefinite: Adjective,

"lasting for an unknown or unstated length of time"

I don't know everything Wargaming said about Missouri since it was released before I started, but if they said it would be available "indefinitely" then that was an accurate statement.  If they ever said it would be available "forever" or something than that would be going back on their statement, but by definition indefinite does not mean infinite, it means unknown.
