I got 2  negative  karma for this match  lol.   poor  langley.  (ok, I also  killed nurny with triple cit) .   I don't have manual AA on this but still good enough to wipe t4 planes.     TBH,     while turnabout is fair play at low tier, I find the whole AA/CV  to be unbalanced issue.     Whole AA need to be adjusted as well as attack so that  its less about gotcha play and more about steady play.     AA is too much of all or nothing  that really isn't healthy  for game play.    while I dislike CV and specifically setup my Oct Rev to have strong AA due to amount of CV it sees,    being able to do this isn't a good thing, just as having no AA isn't a good thing.    not sure what the solution is though as most low tier really don't have AA capable botes .

This is a known issue, and AA rework has been stated to be part of the broader CV rework. Unfortunately, that also means a solution is due ??? when?

If you enjoy AA on a T5 BB, you could get a Texas you know...

CVs richly deserve the Saipan/Kidd/Kidd divs that really give those tear ducts a workout.

I want a AA T4 premium  bote.  there is really no premium with good AA  though lol.     I don't care about texas that much.     people already know and they avoid them.   OR is much more stealthy

CV play at this tier is simple and the CV students haven't learned all the AA ships quite yet. Move on up and see the difference. CV's Start their own salt mines.

Myself, I ran into Saipan/Kutuzov/Kidd division on my Kaga...  That Saipan was 3/0/1 too, and his teammates had maxed out AA builds (they boasted about this).  I did not do very well.

That risks saipan in tier 10. However may i suggest atlanta/atlanta/saipan or kaga/atlanta/atlanta or enterprise/kidd/kidd

The risk isn't too big though, since it would require the other CV to be dived with a tier 8. It does trade some of the advantage though, as it guarantees there will be tier 8 AA for the Saipan to deal with as well.

Worst case scenario IMO is Saipan and two Atlantas in a t7 match, because most of the AA in that game won't do much to the Saipan.

Still. Sure saipan has tier 9 planes. But very few of them. Hell even tier 9 it can get tight. Tier ten is just death sentance. Fail divisoning just... doesnt work

Yep, Saipan is at its most dominant in tier 7 games. Tier 8 games its still a little strong. Tier 9 games it's no problem.

Yeh im saying it can still dominate skys. But actually getting damage will be really hard pressed in tier 9/10 games

It only sees T10 if there is another T7 CV divved with T8 ships. It happens, but it's rare and not really disaster when it does.

The enemy CV will do nothing, and the Saipan can at least long drop T10s

Ya, and even dominating the skies can be tough in a t9 game for the Saipan. It'll still own the other CV, but the ship AA will force the Saipan to be cautious with its planes, or cede the skies to the other CV near the end game.

If you think that's bad, you should see me after a triple Des moines,+Minotaur+Essex+dual Montana+AA spec tier 10 DDs.

I'm basically a quivering wreck at that point.

The point isn't only winning, though that div will almost always win. The point is making CVs pay for the games where they're top tier and a half competent CV captain can carry because the enemy team didn't happen to bring enough heavy AA ships.

Oh, then I missed that point. When MM gives my CV the middle finger, I just resign myself to spotting and clean up.  Hell, last week I had a game where the AA was too strong for me to get close enough to attack a target until 10 minutes had passed. And even then, of the 10 dive bombers I sent, 0 made it out, and one bomb hit.

It's a special function of T7.  It relies on several MM rules.

1. No double CVs in T8 games.

2. CVs are always evenly matched.

So, you cannot end up in game with a T8 CV.  You there won't be a T7 CV in a T10 game unless there is another T7 CV teamed up with a T8.

So barring another "fail" div you're in T9 at worst.  There will either be a T7 CV opposite or multiple, probably lower tier.  Saipan handles T9 better than any other T7 CV, so even that is an advantage. Plus, you've got two Kidd's that are completely immune to CV spotting, can play AA escort and can bully DDs like no tomorrow especially if they don't have enough AA to stop permanent spotting from the Saipan.

Basically that div combines 3 of the highest impact ships and uses MM rules to ensure 99.9% of all matches will be favorable matches.  It harvests tears like nothing else.

Not that Des Moines/Minotaur/DD + T10 CV isn't scary too.  It's just not quite as troll.

understand yubari works ok, but low tier   cvers tend to avoid cruiser in favor of bbs.

Pretty much any CV div is already great for win farming if you're into that sort of thing. You're a good CV though so you know that.

I'm still waiting for them to rework CVs so they have a larger average performance band without either stomping or being completely ineffective.  Hoping might be more like it, since the year of the CV turned out to be a couple busted CVs and a couple "death to flying things" premiums.

That's my hope too. Maybe one will get out of the spit balling phase one day.
