If "I" decide when I get there that it's not the right time to sail in, stop pinging me "Captain I Haven't Left The Spawn Point Yet". It is bloody annoying. "The DD checklist of capping at the start of the game". Are any of my teammates in useful support range. What is the relative gun power I have versus the Red DD's. Do I have a concealment advantage. Is there an easy escape that's not blocked by islands. Are there aircraft that can / will prema-spot you. How far away is your team to help scrub aircraft off you. How many radar ships are there. Am I being RDF detected. The number one plan of any DD player should be not to die in the first 5 minute of play. A well played DD is worth more than a well Played BB at the end of a game. There, I don't feel quit as annoyed as I did. Thanks. Edited February 11, 2018 by Capt_Mexib

Even when they can't help support said cap with any gunfire if something from the reds side gets spotted. Usually its as they are running off to hide behind an island or my favorite a BB going from one side of the map to the other cause "they like that one spot".

162 [TNG-3] Hanz_Gooblemienhoffen_42 Beta Testers 464 posts 13,928 battles Report post #6 Posted February 11, 2018 Excessive map pining is pretty annoying..but in this team game there is a symbiotic relationship between all ships. Don't think you have to cap if its not safe for you..but if you're one those DDs who approaches caps at 1/2 speed hiding behind an island..that really doesn't work either. Far too many battles I see DDs who basically dont spot...if DDs dont spot, but are excessively passive, here's what happens: your CAs cannot wait in the open trying to figure out what you're doing. CAs have zero sustain if nothing is spotted, they will turn away; as if they are spotted by aggressive DDs they must turn away or get deleted by BBs Sure many BBs are still out of support range..that's cause they are waiting for some hapless CA to be spotted so they can delete it. As you note too...if CAs aren't supporting you ..you're not going to push very hard...again its a symbiotic relationship..we need each other...esp the CAs and DDs. This is not a critique of your play (you sound like one of the smart ones) but i see this phenomenon all the time...and unfortunately..it begins with DDs..if they dont spot or aren't "smartly" aggressive..the initiative will fall to the REDs. Your point is taken..just appreciate as a DD the symbiotic relationship starts with you. :)
