I have notice a substantial drop in the update speed (time of day does not make any diff). The last two updates seem to be limited to 6.5MB/s more then 4MB/s slower starting with the 7.0 update. The upload seed speed is unchanged. My settings are set to unlimited. Has anyone else notice a drop in the updates download speed. Anyone able to pull more then 6.5MB/s

:network been checked and seems limited to  WG, pings are sub 30ms and only two pops from my ISP (freaking awesome). I have not checked the game server routes but game ping is sub 30ms and never have had problem with them .

Pings have nothing to do with speed...  WG has had issues in the past with lots of folks downloading patches in the evening and some lag being caused from that.  IT is very likely that they limit each connection to have more control over the total bandwidth and game play. For me - lag on patch day is a thing of the past anymore.    In reality - I updated this morning and it was done in less than 5 minutes,  fast enough - I don't care what the individual speed is.  I have rarely had to restart the update due to it being slow - in 2+ years I can count on one hand how many times I have had to do that..

Actually using the Ethernet cable cut the download by half.

Then it tried to install at the same time as a windows update was setting up.

That didn't go well.

Install free teamviewer or another program like it.

Leave PC on and login to start the patch long before you get home..

Set your PC to power on at a certain time if you don't want it on all day and night.

Done and Done...

Cant be easier....
