Wargaming when are you gonna nerf Battleships?

I'm tired of these overpowered Battleships sailing around at t10. They need to be nerfed bc they have higher average damage, and can kill my cruisers from any angle. This isn't okay and it needs to be fixed. I've realized they're op from the countless threads saying their op, and you know what, I'm in agreement with them. Please, buff cruisers or nerf battleships, or both.

Details I play cruisers mainly and see no problem with BB's except for destroyer penning/ Which is actually being worked on BB's are meant to be more powerful than cruisers. I use tactics and agility when I play cruisers. Cruisers are designed to be hiding in wait for some stray BB to come along or for destroyer hunting. The role is not to go one v one with a BB. When you make a post please include why a nerf is needed and what would be accomplished by it. I doubt that your serious without there being some details here. There will be balancing done on the destroyer pen model which will extend to cruisers so there is nothing to be up in arms about. If a BB knows how to hit your citadel then they know how to play the game.

BBs are op. Make them even easier to kill  so my cruisers actually stand a chance plz. It's not fair that they can pen me from any angle.

How many nerf whatever threads do we need? Play Zao, Minotaur, and Hindenburg right and they will serve you well. Play them wrong and I will *BLAP* you.

Well played cruisers can murder battleships one on one, I personally experienced that from both sides of the duel.  Get good.

Are you sure? How do you get past the fact they pen you and citadel you at any angle? And what do you do if they run fire prevention and stealth?

Make you a deal, if you want BBs nerfed then make CAs not be able to start fires or use Torpedoes and DDs can't use Torpedoes or are at least are restricted to launching only 1 Torpedo before going into reload cooldown.

 

Lol I play all the ship classes and each ship has its strengths and weaknesses. The trick to CAs is to dodge incoming BB fire because the BBs reload rather slowly. Have seen Yamato miss their shots, then have a CA completely Torch them while the Yamato is reloading.

If you play maneuverable cruiser at long range, like Hindenburg or Zao, you can dodge incoming shells easily enough if and when you are paying attention.  You can even time your movements to dodge incoming fire from multiple ships, but this is ill advised, one battleship is not a problem.  As far as fire prevention and stealth, I saw very good Hindenburg player beat a very good Conqueror player.  It was very close, and Hinden won in the end only because of reduced damage BB started to get because of damage saturation.  But Conqeror lost.

Strong as in HE damage output will be looked at as well when they are working on the destroyer pen? AP damage output it's in wg plans to make the ap less effective against destroyers? IF yes two both it's a battleship they turn slowly and get easily sank by torpedoes. There will be a meta change it will be toward DD's being more strong already got a DD in testing with 20km range is it fair to BB's to be sank by torpedos with large damage outputs? I'd love to see better torp arcs on IJN cruisers and more range on Russian torps as for those Put some substance in your post it just looks off without explaining your position

BBs are fine. It's cruisers that need a global buff to survivability. Used to be cruisers traded that for utility, but now there are tons of DDs and BBs with hydro, DF, and some radar, it pretty much makes cruisers less desirable overall.

In all seriousness, though, nothing makes me want to break out the old "git gud" standby than crocodile tears from an eggplant or blueberry. Especially when it is only a feels post, with no identification of possible problems or solutions to same presented whatsoever.

A few months back, I ran into a cap "B" with my ARP Takao. Nothing was spotted there but it was on of those maps with islands all around the cap. I ran right between a Yamato and a Montana. Figuring that I was toast anyways, I barrelled ahead and released my torpedoes from the left then the right launchers. As luck would have it, I was moving faster than their turrets could follow me, though their secondaries pounded me. I was getting ready to say "gg" when I instead saw a "Devastating Strike" beside my name. I had taken out the Yamato -- every single torpedo from two spreads had hit it. I also hit the Montana but it still was living. However, before it could repair a salvo from a BB backing me up sank it.

In one of the last Ranked games I played this season someone in an ARP Takao took out three tier VIII battleships and a cruiser, mostly by him or herself.

They already nerfed our ability to farm citadels, via the two (or more?) passes of "shell normalization."

No, BB's are meant to have bigger guns and better armor, but balance says they aren't more powerful, which is why we have HE.

Yes, we are more powerful. However, by being bigger and less maneuverable, we are much more vulnerable to torpedo and aerial attacks.
