THANK YOU Wargaming for this operation. It is by far the most consistent source of credits, elite captain XP, and free xp that I've ever played. Had a lot of the good flags from Christmas crates around.

Because of how easy it is to get 4/5 stars I am consistently farming games like this:

This was a "bad" one :(

Anyone else doing the same with this OP? The repeated +50% XP mission is awesome for this, too!

not just premium bote,   atlanta gets noob bonus since most are so bad in it.    it makes 50% more than scharnhorst based on same dmg in silver and 30% more xp

I think it's fun to do it once or twice but O get bored of that mission because it's the exact same thing every time.

Absolutely. Atlanta is fantastic for it.

I'd like to thank this team for being a group of incompetent thumb-sucking twiddles, which allowed me to get lots of damage and experience carrying them over the finish line. It was thanks to brainless teams like them that I finally was able to buy myself a Missouri today, and to discover that I am, in fact, terrible at playing it.

Totally worth the months of grinding! No regrets! :cap_like:

At least you will not know the pang of regret that comes from wondering what could have been, and you can start grinding for the Musashi with a sense of accomplishment.

Yea, well, you see, umm.... There might be a slight hitch with this whole "continue grinding" idea...

I should say that while I am genuinely annoyed about how badly I've performed in her so far, I did enjoy playing her and plan on improving my play over time. I tanked more damage in her than I do in the Nelson, and my record of 3.8 million potential damage after just 7 battles is pretty decent. My main issue so far is gun handling- I keep merrily missing easy shots on peoples' sides, with my shells either flying way out in front of them, or hanging in the air for a couple hours and falling short. So, practice will be the name of the game for me.

You've still got far more of those than I have!

As for the rest, I have my good days and my bad days. I know I ought to be grinding my Fiji to the tune of a couple of K XP a night, but there are nights I'm so stressed out or tired, I don't want to think at the level required to fight a T.VII British cruiser as she needs and deserves. So I go play in my Vampire or the Pan-Asians or something until I pick up the first container and then call it quits.

One thing I can say about the Pan-Asian tech tree - one is obliged to develop one's gunnery skills against other destroyers. I figure this can only be a good thing.

Enjoy your new ship. Take her out, practise with her (in co-op or a training room if you have to), get to know her quirks and foibles. If a seal-potato like me can pick up a Vampire using only a Danae and Emerald, you can do anything.

Love this operation, when it is in rotation I play nothing but Narai whole day long to farm credits and XP.  :Smile_teethhappy:

I feel more stupid than ever now for selling my Atlanta.  But yes, I farm the missions.  If I don't get top score, something wrong happened.  Too damn easy.  Flag, go and win.

This one we got only four stars. You can see why. One assault ship beached itself far from the bases and never again moved. I still got these very enjoyable credits and free XP, along with 13K elite commander XP in Atlanta:

I have been too. Since ~zeroing my Free XP on Musashi, I'm back to 135k, mostly thanks to this Op.

Yeah... my Missouri stats aren't stellar.   Got it Christmas day.    And used my flags to grind up to 681k.   Next stop, Musashi!

Will try to bump up the FXP with the operations.   Unfortunately, no Atlanta.   Will try something else that flings a lot of stuff.

This one also four stars. No special signal flags, just ordinary ones. 2100 base XP, 15K commander points, cleared 597K credits after consummables and operating costs.

Does Duke Of York get that Noob Bonus like Atlanta???

Just played in DoY.   Meh damage - slowwww reload.   Fires were pretty.  Potatoed and ate torps, so had to limp back to  the heal circle.   Got in a position to fight again, but half the team had melted.

Guess I'll try with my Fiji...   moved her captain to Edinburgh, so there's a 3 pointer sitting in the seat.   Well, at least I can bring it up a few points in operations.

Atlanta is the ship for Narai, hands down. Nearly every game I've played with an Atlanta in team, it's come up top scorer.

I've been farming T6 with a Cleve for elite captain xp, it's the only ship I've got a 19 pointer in. 30+k fcxp in 15 mins is a pretty good deal, the rest is bonus.

Been using Narai to fleet up the T8s, working my way through the BBs which will never match CAs for eventual xp, but someone's got to take the top hits.

Also, while the 100% is good, it's also weekends, and there are plenty of spuds ignoring the southern channel with the Aigle/Clemson and transports, and my teams have been losing a star there even though I usually ask a CA to head there from the start. I've had to do it a couple of times in a BB, not fun. Maybe next time I'll just say there are DDs and mission objectives there, and you do get more xp for killing them, but that would probably trigger a rush and the lead transport would get nailed.

Ops hasn't gotten boring yet, cos different ships, teams, and enemy variations/spawns. As long as it's never going to be a 100% guaranteed 5 star win with 200k dmg, it's still going to be useful to me.

Also, DDs in ops is not a good idea, I decided to try out a few to see and only a few times I managed to match CA dmg outputs. Bot snipe fire is just too ridiculous. As someone in chat said once, there is nothing a DD can do better in ops than a CA, so just take a CA.

Actually, there are at least two variations of Narai. In one the ships begin the attack from the left, in the other it's from the right. I like relaying the scenarios because the players in them are usually friendlier and more cooperative than you find in random games. Also, it's a good place to try out different ships. Finally, there are a bunch of Operation-specific awards that are fun to collect. I just collected two rare ones (for me at least) today.
