I have the Dell 24 in g- sync that is pretty amazing.  2k resolution and can get up to 165 FPS.  Typically it runs between 140-  150FPs with a GeForce 1080.

I believe the game maxes out at 1920x1080, so you'd have some dead space on the sides when you played WoWs.  But I'm hardly an expert on the technical side of stuff.

I couldn't help but read the title and think, "New Monitor help?  But ships only go back to WWI era, not the Civil War era.  What's next?  A Premium Merrimack?"  :Smile_hiding:

I don't have one, but I believe the monitor you're looking at is pretty short height wise, like 11 inches?

Might want to check into that.

Doesn't game limit to 75 fps?

I run 2560x1440 @ 75fps. Full screen-no dead-space pixels.

Game runs perfectly fine on higher resolutions. I play at 2560x1440p and have no dead spaces or w/e.

The Main problem is the UI. It doesnt scale with resolution so it ends up extremely tiny on my screen.

I would take into serious consideration the 16:9 vs 21:9 ratio. Compare that with other games and see if you do indeed like the different aspect ratios.  I find 16:9 way better for me than other uses than wider monitor would bring.  My $0.02 :)

Just to clarify, the OP is asking about aspect ratios.  They are looking at a monitor with a 21:9 ratio (wider than normal), where most monitors are 16:9.  I personally don't know the answer, but it seemed like too many people were responding with answers that related to pixels.

You can manually change the max FPS rate in the res folder to whatever your monitor can handle.

If you are going to buy a new monitor, instead of the 21:9 with 2560x1080, I highly recommend going for a 27" 16:9 2560x1440, or a 34" 21:9 3440x1440 monitor.

This...the 24 in Dell is actually better than the 27 due to more pixels...and cheaper......... also highly recommend getting a gysync compatable.

nah, G-sync is overrated, unless you are playing on a slower video card than GTX 970.

ULMB, however, is not.

I just recently bought a

Acer XR382CQK bmijqphuzx 37.5" 21:9 Curved IPS Monitor

To replace my HP 30" IPS monitor that was not an ultrawide as it was starting to flicker after like 8 or so years of owning it.  I didn't want to lose too much vertical as many ultrawides are VERY short.  This was the best monitor and it kicks behind.  And for those that think you don't take advantage in WoWs, that's incorrect.  You get a MUCH wider peripheral vision.  I can have A B and C caps fully in vision on this screen while folks in ships right next to me who aren't using ultrawides or dual monitors can only fit two caps on their screen.

And since I use it mostly for work, here's the kicker...  I can fit Excel columns A through BG on my screen.  That's 59!!! columns on the screen.  For someone that spends a lot of time with reports and big data, that insane amount of real estate is huge for productivity.  And when I'm working on my websites or needing to do other split screen work, I can see two full pages simultaneously.  Dual monitors is nice, but a nuisance in teamviewer (remote access) because you have to constantly swap back and forth between screens, and I use teamviewer a lot when I need to access my desktop remotely from my laptop.  Plus you don't have to deal with the gap between screens for gaming.

Get it and you will not regret it.  3840x1600 is bonerific and gives you a huge advantage over other players using traditional monitors.

Keep in mind that the higher resolutions require a better graphic's card. this game's demands are not very high but some other games you run will bring you to a crawl if you card is not up to the challenge. I'm using an Asus Rog pg348q at

3440 x 1440 and the game looks great you can have the mini map at full size.
