Any chance we can see the helipad on the France being put to use?

From what I can tell the battleship was designed in the 50's at which point there was already a handful of helicopters in production. I was particularly thinking of the Sud-Ouest Djinn, which despite the wacky name seems like a typical army helicopter, so it would make sense for it to be used on a battleship. Maybe it could be added as a spotting helicopter, which could hover over a target for a few seconds to ensure that it is spotted and have a typical circle path around your ship at all other times? Even just giving it a standard constant "orbit" around your ship like normal spotters could work too. Any suggestions on how this could be implemented? I'd love to have it just because that helipad could be put to use when most T10 battleships have a catapult :Smile_Default:

I doubt it would work.

A helicopter hovering near anything with AA, even weak AA, or anywhere near any kind of fighter aircraft would be toast.   Heck, a spotter or bomber could probably buzz a helicopter of this era and shoot it down with its rear seat gunner.

I doubt any helicopters of the period would survive in the role of a catapult plane, and I doubt they were ever used that way.

WoW could put a hoop and backboard at one end and play B-Ball on it!

Agreed - wayyyyy to slow for the helicopter to really do anything.  My guess it was for emergency evac or crewman overboard/supplies but that is a guess.

Helicopters were actually used in WWII, from 1942 onward.
