Some times the best solutions are the simplest but this is not one of those times.

Nope cause players would still complain about spotting.

Learn to use/focus your AA.

Learn to use your DF if you have it.

Learn to use your float fighters if you have them,

Learn not to run off alone.

Learn to WASD.

I've seen too many successful defenses against CV attacks.

ZERO sympathy on my part for complaints against CVs, except perhaps for those from newer players who haven't found their stride yet.

Pray for average CV drivers when you get them, because if a uni shows up on the other team, and you don't get one too? You're probably screwed. Fight like hell and beat that team anyway; or just take the loss and try again.

OP's argument would have been better if it was to decrease the difference in AA and plane health from tier to tier. So top tier CVs are less OP and bottom tier CVs are less UP.

Tier X ships already have ridiculously good AA, especially if they spec for it.

Tell that to my Zao when a Midway out right roflstomped me and lost very little.

Just about every match I get into that has a CV, they get 3-5 kills. Something isn't right here. They have it to easy. I have seen players' profiles where all they do is play CV and average 6 kills a game. Yah it's so skillful clicking on a ship to torp/bomb them. They must be incredibly skilled at the game.

With your stats and the small amount of battles you’ve played, you have absolutely no business telling anyone they have no skill or don’t know how to play any other ships.

How about you go learn to play any ship first before you state that, because obviously you don’t.

I know that CVs are broken and anyone who uses them are a coward and are abusing the system.

The problem with CV is the interface. CVs get a eye in the sky magical satellite view of the battle that no other class gets. It allows them to very accurately and reliably drop targets since they can very easily determine target speed and course changes.

Imagine a Montana player: instead of using the current aiming reticle they had a top down birds eye view like cvs do. Each of the 4 turrets has its own elipse, just like Dive bombers, each of these 4 target ellipses can be placed independently and they represent the area the shells will land. Imagine how accurately the montana could hit ships, knowing exactly how they are moving and where the shells will land.

this should give you an idea of WHY cv are so powerful. They operate from a different point of view than surface ships. This is why CV can fight over the entire battle so easily and no other class can.

I posted on this during CLOSED BETA: if you want to balance CV:

1. Remove the top down perspective, CVs will use the mini map for macro plane management

2. Micro: dropping and strafing is done from the third person perspective of the squadron. This will require significantly more skill and will help bring the power of CV more in line with the other classes.

3. Adjust surface ship AA power, including nerf/removal of DFAA since micro of CV will take significantly longer to perfrom.

4. Disregard everything I said since I am not a unicum CV player and therefore my opinion means nothing.

****in my opinion the goal of CV rebalance should be that a unicum CV player influence in battle should be the same as an equally skilled unicum in any other class***
