getting tired of being only tier 8 in a tier 10 game WG

 Last couple days have been brutal for any tier 8 I have been getting to the point where I now am seriously contemplating AFK evertime it happens now Ive ground up to tier ten on most of the lines I play so don't neep to play them for exp that's for sure ive got 300 000 000 silver so don't need that and am sitting on 250 000 free exp soooo why am I bothering to play games that are pointless and frustrating most times......

 

Sure I hear the consider it a challenge from every team ( who often are the ones in a Tier 10) and yeah last Z -23 game was only tier 8 like only one in that game and broke 120 000 damage but honestly only reason was because enemy DD sucked like really sucked we still lost game cause our whole team seemed to suck even more.

Please WG I luv this game have invested in it with premium ships I have over 20, premium time, I buy your special bundles all I would love to see is some better MM I don't really care if I have to wait 2 4 mins I am not a child I can wait and not throw a tantrum about long Que times if that's what it takes to see a normal match ( like more than just me and 1 other sorry sap in our tier 8 vs all 10 or most 10 and a couple 9) sorry all rant over I guess till I hit battle button again hate AFKing and have never even contemplated it before  but I play this game 4 fun not aggravation

if u have 300mil credits, why not just play t10 all day long

although i hate this setup, but that's the way for WG to make money, T8 is not your comfort zone to keep playing, you want an edge, you play t10, then you lose credit every game, so you have to buy credit/premium time etc etc, that's how they make money

Unfortunately, tier 8 has easily supplanted tier 5 as being the game's *****-tier. There's not much you can do about it... and, certainly, Wargaming doesn't appear to care. I would much, MUCH prefer to be a tier 5 in a tier 7 game than a tier 8 in a tier 10 match.

Most tier ten meta is stale and boring and many have just free exp to tier 10

Tier 8 can be rough for sure.  However threatening to AFK because of it will win you no sympathy here.  If it's really that painful to you, as others have pointed out, there is a solution: play tier 10.

To be fair, a single tier 8 ship in a match of 23 tier 10/tier 9 ships is about as useful as an AFK, in most cases.

Had a bunch of those this weekend, as a cruiser. All I can do is make as much of a pest of myself as possible. And pray to the RNG gods that I don't get blapped from across the map.

It happens mate..all too often...but at least when you get an actual T8 match it makes you feel so POWERFUL!

Just something we all have to deal with...as population of game moves up tiers...different tiers get a sweet spot...right now..T8s get dragged up esp as many T8s were running Ranked...dont worry it will change again soon.

you see though suicide in a game is just not fun for me whats hard to figure out about that?? I can just exit and go play another tier and probably enjoy the match its not real life where lives are in the balance and sacrifices can count for something

I have never heard any else say that.  There is not a single tier 8, at least not that I've played, that isn't competitive against tier 10s.

Well its certainly made my Hipper grind extra "engaging".

...though if you do well in a T10 as a T8 the XP returns are much better than they would be in a T8.

The problem here is we have been providing feedback about it for nigh on 2 years and nothing has been done. Therefore, it is not unreasonable to conclude that nothing will be done.

 

I've personally outlined, several times, how +1/-1 MM would be an undeniable benefit to WG's bottom line, and it's been consistently ignored. I've never seen a company straight up ignore easy money, but here we are.

You guys should think about implementing a system similar to what I hear WoT uses, where if the game is going to be T9/10, then T8 is the majority populated tier in that match(talking more than 12/24 ships are T8s). I think it would go a long way in alleviating some of the stress brought on by being uptiered in a T8. I'd certainly feel more comfortable myself in a T8(especially a cruiser) if I only had to face 3-5 T9/10 ships and the rest were T8s.

I know the issue is no longer a lack of population at T10(okay, maybe during odd hours, but throughout the day and evening, there are plenty of T9 and T10 ships out and about), otherwise I don't think T8 ships would get matched with T10s so often. If T10 were struggling population wise in the queue, then most games in a T8 should be T8, with the occasional T/910 thrown in to get them out of queue.

It is painful, some T8 ships can still do pretty well in a T10 game, really hate playing those T8 DDs though.  +, -1 Tier is an easy fix, should be implemented, and will not effect any money making out there for WG, but what I find with this Company especially in tanks, that change is slow if at all, not sure why, as you would think a company that makes millions of dollars from us, the customers, would be a bit more responsive.  (Understanding of course not ALL change is good)

Huh??? ur competitive until someone decides your worth shooting like cmon man you think Hipper competitive vs Hindenburg or Zao vs Mogami or Des Moines vs New Orleans eat those tier 8's alive with those tier 10 , BB all got HP to at least work with I guess so could be said so about those but DD meh same story some  ships like Akizuki an oddity I can fight a Gearing 1 on 1 and win but its seriously slow and much worse torps Kageroo has best detec in game so I can make do  but all it takes is a Mosvka somewhere on the map and you will be spotted and probably wrecked shortly after

hope you can finish er with ease Roon and Hindenburg lot more fun for sure, I kinda liked the  Hipper when I ground her but was a lot more mid tier battles when I ground her
