There seems to be a rather large delay in the detected information updating. I have been taking fire either before the detected flag come up or if detected already before Priority Target updates. A second or two is acceptable but this is more like 10 seconds. Anyone else seeing this?

You know what's interesting... maybe along the lines of what you are pointing out/to... the minimap versus the UI display. I noticed today on more than one occasion, I could see a ship on the minimap before I saw it in the UI/scope. No islands. No smoke. No cyclone. No manatees, not even a mermaid. Open water between me and the red. It was probably two, maybe three seconds before the ship "shimmered" into view.

So I've gone in and enabled replays (again) to see if I can capture it.

I am running mods so should see if this is happening without but I think it was before I updated after the last patch. This was a bug shortly after Sixth Sense (WoT name) was put in as a captains skill so I am wondering if it has come back? I watched an Iowa fire from about 20 Km and watched the fall of its shot and Priority Target didn't update until a few seconds after the shots landed, I was detected but no one was looking at me according to PT.

Silly malfunctions like this......

And on the side, I wonder how they can catch folks using illegal mods.

Folks using those 'incoming fire location' mods will see the shots and avoid them.  You have no warning - so they hit before you get warned.

It's like I noticed in the past when I'd fire on a grounded ship and all my shots would go left or right..  Folks with illegal 'assist' made the shot..  we don't.

....

Minor malfunctions to catch the violators.   Let it go - - it will pass.

No mods. just the game dowloaded from WG site. 

mods are a bit advanced for me. hell i cant even get the stats banner to work in the forums.

yeah i gave up on worrying about hackers. i would just be happy for decent teams. the MM has my [edited]more chapped atm.

Sadly enough, there is no illegal mod available to get better MM..

If there was, hell, I'd risk getting banned for it... lol

I brought up issues with detection awhile back and caught crap for it, so I let it go.  Basically remaining "detected" after leaving detection range and the alert going away is my issue.  Its hard to believe the accuracy of some shots being pure coincidence when you are wasd haxing like crazy after leaving detection range.  I don't fully discount player skill, but over time, it makes you wonder.

A way to prove this would to obtain the replay from your opponent, and compare with yours to see both sides.  Not easy, but not impossible either.

gave up on that too. became a big flamu fan and subscribed to him on youtube. im just not as good as he is. he did a new orleans review where he makes it look effortless. meanwhile im struggling through it.

Been running a vanilla client tonight but haven't been able to tell if it is happening with the way that the matches are shaking out.

yeah half the time the matches are over so quick you dont have time to accurately investigate.

I’ve had the same issues with Detection although more in the 5 second range

also I’m targeting a ship that is supposed to become visable when they fire except at times there’s a delay so I’ll get incoming fire long before there visible, doesn’t happen all the time so it’s definitely odd
