Number 4 = If I am PINK it is for 1 of 2 reasons.  First = I fired torps in front of a team mate, sorry I didn't see you. Second = I shot at a team mate because he either shot at me deliberately or I just had enough of that person's crappy mouth giving me a hard time. If I do something and you want to tell me something to help me fine, I will listen. But, if you continually give me a hard time with foul language and don't back off ,YES I will sink you myself.

If you follow #1 in that it’s just a game, just ignore people that give you flak unless it’s valid criticism. It does help to be a little bit more aware of your team when firing torps and to give a warning if they might right ahead of your team though. Just try to have fun in the end, that’s what matters.

You should apply your first rule so you don't tk other people. If someone is giving you a hard time, just mute them so you don't have to see it. Intentional tking is never okay and will get you a ban.

I can help with #2 poodoo.... go into your control file and config the SPACEBAR to fire the weapons as well as the mouse buttons. They were SO kind to give us this option last year. The big plus is you can keep your mouse pointing exactly where you want, reach down with your left thumb, single or double tap the spacebar and voila - rounds downrange. 

 

#4 of course is your prerogative but blatantly firing at someone for any reason will eventually get you banned. It is confusing that #1 you state it is just a game, remember that then along comes #4 where you apparently forget it and fire on team mates?

1) Yes, it's a game ...  but there are 11 other people on your team, and the one thing everyone can agree on is that winning = fun. If you play poorly to the point where you're driving down other people's win rate significantly, then it's not fun anymore. You have to learn to get better so *everyone* can have fun and not just you.

2) Depends what you do. There are those that given a lot of grief for people actually trying their best, and that's a shame. But if you are one of those players who intentionally plays poorly, people are right to be mad. This includes Bismarks sitting 20km from a fight. Or people refusing to cap when they are right there. Or players who solo yolo all the time and die within the first two minutes of the match. No one is asking you to be a unicum. They just want to make sure you're at least trying to help the team win and learning from your mistakes. Also, is your arthritis really that bad that you can't use the WASD keys? If that's the case, how are you playing ANY game at all? Or for that matter, how are you typing up the above post?

3) There are people that rant and rage in chat, and even I've done that on occasion, but it really depends on how it's done. If a player is (relatively) politely asking their remaining team to push objectives when they seem to be interested in all running back to spawn and hiding behind islands, then he's kinda in the right to be annoyed. But this is a far cry from people who spend the rest of the match hurling insults every 10 seconds in chat.

4) Uhm ... what? You're purposefully firing on a teammate because he annoyed you? You fired torps when another teammate was ahead of you? There's absolutely no way you can justify these, ESPECIALLY the first one. You never EVER shoot at a teammate on purpose. You'll be rightfully ripped apart on these forums if that's something you feel you can boast about openly.

In the end, it comes down to trying to be a better player for yourself and for your team. Winning is *everything*. It matter more than damage dealt. It matters more than staying alive if doing so means avoiding the objectives. While no one expects someone to be a unicum with just a couple of thousands of games under their belt, they do expect you to get better over time. And if you never learn from your mistakes, you have no one to blame but yourself. Git Gud in Random/Ranked, or just stick to playing Co-op.

But you can fix your attitude and quality of character.  If you are consciously hitting the battle button knowing full well that something is keeping you from fulfilling your 1/12 of your responsibility to the T-E-A-M, you are putting your selfish desire for fun ahead of the 11 other peoples' fun.  The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.  If you think otherwise, it's a reflection on your poor character.  Answer: self-regulate.  Don't shoot from the pro tees if you can't drive the ball 300+ yards anymore, all you're doing is holding up everyone behind you.  In other words, stick to lower tiers or co-op or games where your arthritis won't cause you to sabotage your T-E-A-M.

There's a feature that allows you to block text from other players in the match. Maybe you should use that. I use it to block salty and/or annoying players and works great.

And there's no excuse or justifiable reason to TK.

yah I've been pink something like 30 times....like I've said elsewhere, I'm accident prone...usually it's someone I just flat-out didn't see until a second after the drop... ....one BB I hit said, "Yeah, I cut a pretty low profile..."...but usually people get that I effed up, etc. ...I just wish I hadn't cost us the mission in all likelihood. ...

...I was freshly divved up with two ppl a few nights ago where I accidentally nailed one of them with the one stray torp that didn't land on a red ship I sank...but since I didn't SINK my div mate I wound up with no pink ....I richly deserved one, tho.

...altho I do admit the first few of the pinks were when I was new and thought I was funny ..being an overgrown brat.....or just didn't like some carping from whoever and overreacted.. ..only very rarely have I seen somebody TK deliberately, even when they're already pink....but when it happens you kind of have to strive to let it go and not retaliate....two pinks don't make a right.

4.2 is probably directly related to 3. 

While 4.1 is related to 2. Which subsequently leads to 3. 

1. Is a very important point, but 2. And 4.1 go hand in hand. 

Learning and adapting gamesense is what turns a Pink TK potato into Green Fries that are a nice side to have within a match. 

Things such as arthritis, suck. But it shouldn't be an excuse for poor gamesense. In the heat of the moment near-misses happen especially with Torpedoes, ship and CV launched. The trick to not have that occur semi-regularly is constant mini-map awareness. Always check. If it's too small on the screen make it bigger. If you fear it will become a blind spot adjust transparency. 

Personally I find the Ship compass and chat to be more of a visual dead zone. But afaik those aren't adjustable to preferences. 

Anyways 1. And 3. Are hand in hand also. 

It is a game, but to win it requires good game sense and the ability to pick the correct course of action.

That's not all you said in your post. And even then, I would not fire at a teammate. That would only escalate things and result in two ships sunk on my team.

I hope you will look at your anger issue because that will negatively affect you in real life as well as in any game you play.
