I have Air Groups Mod 1 & 2 and Dog Fighting Expert, Air Supremacy. I have the Grumman F6F-3. I'm not losing to strafing runs, its mostly one-on-one dog fighting. Most of the time it is over open water / no enemy ships around. My planes have full ammo and full squadron... Is there another Mod/ Add-on I am not aware of? Is there a technique I am not aware of (ALT + Kill)?? (Cont + Destroy all Planes)?? (Shift + Lock Missiles)???

The only possibility is that you ended up in a tier 8 match from ships that have been in AA spec that can shoot planes from afar... just my guess...

Keep in mind some of the AA that you start seeing with Tier VI CVs can be surprising in their range. 7.2km is what an AA spec Cleveland, Atlanta, North Carolina, Alabama can reach. There's also AA threats that you may not be used to seeing. Tier VIII Kii is an IJN BB and has FANTASTIC AA that is actually better than the Tier VIII USN BBs, and has great range also. She is unlike all other IJN BBs in the game as she is the only one with good AA, the other have garbage to woefully inadequate AA. Also, keep in mind where your planes have been flying around. Your fighters may have passed through an area where they were in range of someone's AA before reaching that open spot to get into a dogfight with enemy fighters. Half the game with air-to-air is finding any little way that the enemy CV aircraft take damage even before you have gotten into direct fighting with them. If its one or two, its just RNG at its worst. Is your captain fully trained for the Indy or did you just hop into it?

There are some great CV users on the site that give great advice for how to not only improve your game play, but other functions and tricks you might not have known existed before
