I only have the Yamato camo. It looks much better then the original light gray you get from finishing the collection.

I agree.  Your skins almost look black!  However, it IS an improvement over WG's skins.  I would suggest that the color used in the anime is more of a gun metal type of color - more of a dark grey than black.

Bumping because we want answers, why did the texturing department much up the colors of the Yamato/Musashi by making them too light grey? They didn't like the anime?

A little too dark imo but much better than the original which is too light.

Here's a skin my friend made for me 6 months ago:

This is the actual colour and how the ships should actually be coloured. Both Musashi and Yamato appeared in this Japanese Grey Colour, and not pitch black.
