Very cool video of some of the areas of the Iowa not seen by the general public.

Not the normal tour, this is only a tour that select few get to go on.

WELL worth watching. Every pipe, cable, equipment module, passageway and deck, crew members from captain to petty officer 3rd class in the engine room... all part of a working synergy on one of the biggest and most complex pieces of equipment every devised. Mind-boggling complexities when you get into the nitty gritty of it.

I just got the Iowa a few weeks ago and so this was of special interest to me, thank-you: +1.

I just came back from Wilmington NC. The BB NC had the engine and rear steering compartments open some thing you don't see on the two IOWA's on the East Coast.

The steering bridge and citadel are open on the Wisconsin to the public like their showing in this video.

Hey

Very interesting video, a must see for anyone playing the game.  Gives a real glimpse of what it was like and how crowded these ships really are; gives a real appreciation for all of the men who served in the Navy around the world.  Thanks for posting !!

Make a trip to Mobile AL and tour the BB USS Alabama. Large portion of the ship is open including the engine room and battle bridge with its 16 inch steel doors.  The complex is great with fighters etc: The USS Drum is really interesting and you can walk thru the boat. The brass gauges still shine and impress.
