How many nerfs did Yamato suffer?

I use to like to play with Yamato but recently it became very bad. I notice that now I can't hit more than 1-3 shells in one stopped target or in one good aimed salvo in one range more than 15km, I feel that I am turning slower so my charges now are win or die situations because if I turn I will get my citadel hit in mid to close range, my repair party is not as good as it used to be, since beta I heard that its penetration was nerfed but at that time I did not have one Yammy.

Am I forgetting some nerf?

As soon as my premium finish (and I regret to have bought it) I will stop to play this game, I use to like to play as DD, but IJN torpedos were nerfed, I used to like to play as CV, but now in high tier the AA and increased and decreased concealment force me to be very defensive and this is not fun, now my Yammy can't hit one shell at the enemy anymore without do one do or die attack. I still like to play with Zao but I know it will be nerfed too together with the old nations because I fell that the developers want to launch overpowered ships to make we tech new factions and then nerf them to launch another faction and make we try to get it and give they money in the process. WG should improve the bad ships not nerf the good ones...

 

I do not usually complain in the forums but I am doing it because I am very unpleased and am about to leave the game.

What are you people felling about WG?

I don't recall any nerfs targetted directly at the Yamato.

During CBT her repair party was buffed to be better than other battleships because she was struggling hard against Montana. Things shifted a considerable time after that and by OBT Yamato was the superior ship, though the repair team didn't actually do that.

 

At some point last year the repair team was brought back down to battleship standard.

Outside Yamato having Mega Repair Party long, LONG ago, nothing really has been nerfed with Yamato.  If anything, the competition at high tier BBs has heated up considerably since it was only Amagi-NC, Iowa-Izumo, Montana-Yamato.

 

The greatest signal of the increased competition of high tier BBs?  IJN BBs players no longer widely adopt Secondary Builds.  Nagato, Amagi, most especially Yamato.  They sported at the time, the best secondaries in the game.  Then the Germans arrived, taking that away.  Then NC got numerous buffs in 2016.  Then Missouri was introduced.  Then Alabama and Tier IX-X USN BB citadels were lowered.  Then the RN BBs entered the fray.

 

Yamato hasn't gotten worse since the Repair Party deal.  Everything around her has gotten better.  Montana most especially.

I think that is what Lert meant. Since release Yamato has not been nerfed.

I know about that nerf to the repair, I was talking about since the game has been public (ie not Alpha or Beta) she has never been nerfed.

The repair party change was, IIRC, in January or February 2017.

 

The game officially launched in October 2016.

But the repair party nerf to Yamato occurred a significant period of time after the game launched.

Actually the Repair Party change was in Update 0.5.3 in February 2015. The same update that made Albany the little monster it is now. But I digress that was after release so that point is withdrawn.

relax, zao is already nerfed to ground, and won't get nerfed again anytime soon

 

also.......not that yamato was nerfed, its just  her opponent(montana)  was buffed, and more overpowered opponents were introduced, while yamato remain untouched

I thought OBT started in July of 2015?

I didn't get into this game until OBT. I had heard about while it was in CBT, but was content to wait for an open beta test phase to join. I didn't create a WG account or join any forum boards until I had the game downloading and could play, which evident by my member joint date was on July 1, 2015.

Not trying to jump on you for being mistaken here(seems you're a year off anyway), just wondering if August is the official start of OBT, then what the heck was July 2015 for this game, when I started playing?

If I remember correctly there was an Open Beta weekend at that time. That's probably how you got in.

Huh, didn't know about that. Wait, doesn't that mean that I should qualify for some kind of beta tester tag or something? (similar to the In Alfa tag the beta weekenders got?)

Not sure, talk to @SuperNikoPower he would know. Like @AraAragami I'm basing what I say off my memory, and I have been here since Alpha so my memory can be skewed a bit.

It depends on how you count a nerf.

If it was direct nerfs only one to the the heal of the Yamato reducing it to the same level as the average BB. 

 

If you count indirect nerfs than many (wont get all but some of the important ones):

NC, Iowa, and Montana got Sigma buffs.

Iowa and Monti got Citadel buffs. 

Monti and Iowa got speed buffs. 

British BB line

German BB line

German DD line

US CVs got buffed

Des Moines got reload buff.

Hindi got an HE penetration Buff. 

French CA line'

AA gun recalculation (dramatic reduction in the  damage from the Type 96)

 

At one point the Yamato was the queen of the sea, she could heal more damage than any other ship could, she could tank more damage than any other ship could and could hit harder than any other ship. Now she is simply the lol pen machine with the best sigma of any BB in the game, excellent dispersion and has several peers able to compete with her.

So, since you can't overwhelm everyone you see anymore, this makes the game bad, and you're leaving.

 

Quite a lolworthy post. If you refuse to adapt when things change, the problem lies with you, and not with whatever it is you're angry about.
