This happens a lot too when moving back to port from checking challenges and mission progress. Clicking on the button in the upper right hand corner of the screen also seems to "click thru" to the screen behind it as well. Use the "Back to Port" button or the arrow button in upper left hand corner (depending on which screen you are in) instead. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I do think it has to do with double clicking the X in the top right corner to exit the battle and return to port. The first click registers the return to port, and the second click executes the function underneath which just happens to be the conversion for doubloons.
