What’s that? I can’t hear you over the sound of my wallet barfing money into WG’s bank account.

You realize the point of  premium ships is not to be OP/ pay to win right?

Any post that uses "barf" wins in my book.

The Aigle sounds interesting, especially since I focus so much on DDs now. The rest are meh, but lord knows that I'll wind up buying them anyway.

So many people don't get this: premiums don't have to be good. They just have to be intriguing enough to buy, even if they're crap.

Good.

About time they throttled back on the power level of Premiums.

WoT had it right years ago (been a while since I played Tanks, don't know if its still true). Premiums should be better than a stock ship of their Tier, but not not quite as good as a fully researched ship of their Tier.

Too many WoWS Premiums are just flat out better than their tech tree counter parts, and they just kept getting better for a while. Thats not good for the game in the long run.

Using Mouses terms, the balance goal for premiums should be "Mehbote"( Average ship. Has strengths and weaknesses. Doesn't need buffs to be viable, but certainly not advantageous ), not "Gudbote" ( A strong ship that has obvious competitive strengths and unique features that make it very appealing )

Not every premium is crap to everyone.  I'm sure there are players who love Huang He, and other premiums that most people (as well as the venerable LWM) regard as utterly useless garbage.   Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?

Too many of the premiums released in the last year were overpowered.  If this year's crop isn't, that's an entirely positive development.

Exactly. When I hear a ship is OP or stinks, I look for multiple reviews. I check to see how that person describes it and why they think they did good or bad. That is why @LittleWhiteMouse is the gold standard in reviews. She tells you why she liked a ship and why not and what ships it is close to better than anyone else I have read. Some like a ship and some don't. Heck, I didn't like Smith until I got better at DDs. For the ones I'm not good at now, I'll just keep learning and working on getting better.

One word: Eugen.

I cut them slack messing around with premiums. I've been through game and scenario development and the shitload of testing required. So.

It all shakes out on this forum when they mess up and I have seen that they are usually responsive.

If I buy a premium ship the only thing I care about is that it's fun to play. A ship does not need to be ridiculously OP to be fun to play.
