Why do I have to be alive to mess with division parameters?

I've aired my grievances about random strangers being able to invite themselves to my division before, but this is just - ... Well, if I gave my honest opinion about this, I'd get a warning and my post censored.

You could keep a list of the people who invite themselves to your division for later retribution when they are on the red team. :)

Agreed Lert....they should at a minimum have to ask to join. It really is an annoying feature...random player joins div, leaves without ever saying anything, feels like I'm being violated.

Personally, I once again can't make sense of WG's direction....

Lets make a change to the division window that no one asked for...Check. (And mess up the port chat windows while we're at it)

Lets make it harder to manage a division. Check

Lets finally enable the training room, but remove all the functionality that made it useful for stuff like TRAINING....Check.

Not just that, but you have to be alive to kick them out and / or lock the div. That's what this thread is about.

Yes and they did...  Lert had to stop observing the game and drop out of the battle to remove them.

When I first saw lert talking about this a couple months ago (or more) I didn't understand the issue since I'd never imagined people would just randomly join a division. Then I started divisioning more and in almost every game someone would try to join. Actually they wouldn't TRY to join. They'd just join and then I'd have to remove them. 

Aggravating to say the least. 

I think you can lock the div but I forget.

It's hard to find divs, especially when they are required for rewards.

I get in there and make myself at home and hope no one notices...

Agreed Lert.  If you start up a division, you should have the ability to invite or ignore anyone you wish.  Playing in divisions with random stangers is a bit odd for me.  I did try it but NO MORE.

Actually, there is a reason -> to prevent tag teaming.  But surely they can make it less absolute...
