incorrect firing sequence of ships torpedoes ?

The game mechanics for a ships torpedo firing sequence is inconsistent…. Some ships fire their starboard side tubes correctly (aft tube first, then subsequent tubes going forward ) while their port side tubes fire in a reversed sequence…. (Zao, Mogami, Scharnhorst)   Still other ships are the opposite of this…. (Leander, Fiji, Kuma)   Also destroyers with centre mounted tubes do not switch their firing sequence when they launch from their port side then their starboard side…

The important issue here is that the firing sequence should always begin with the aft most tube regardless of port or starboard positioning, this to avoid interference and possible collision of subsequence torpedoes on launch...…

From what I know, British and Commonwealth ships identified their torpedo fire control stations with firing controls labeled F-I-R-E for the port side and E-R-I-F for the starboard,  with the launching sequence always beginning with F

they should make it a mechanic with Zao where launching torps with the wrong sequence has a chance of the torps hitting each other and exploding

Firing order totally should be 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 to make sure things run smoothly.

While we're complaining about launching order, can we get the Mahan's outside torpedo launcher to fire on the first click instead of the centerline one?

hitting "C" will switch which torp launcher you are using.

Some torp launchers have different arcs, so it will also automatically switch launchers once you have exceeded the launcher's arc that you are currently using. Other than that, c will switch them for you

Sure, if you ship is built by Ford. I didn't actually get the joke at first until Skpstr's reply piqued my interest.  Good catch!

I thought it was supposed to be 8-6-7-5-3-0-9.  No?

Sorry, obligatory.....
