Nice by the way. Most don't even know that when they are broadside AP eats them. Or that when you go into a cap... Turn in away that you are ready to run if trouble starts. Kidd's heal helps it a lot in ranked and the CV has a hard time getting successful strikes off on you thanks to good AA and DF. The extra gun helps against the LoYang spam. That said, you rely on smoke heavily to do damage to anything else. And yes, killing DDs first means smoke camping is more useful. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Monarch or Amagi are ideal if your team has better DDs, it seems to me like the reason you lose in most ranked games are your BBs not knowing wth to do while DDs do a lot of work just surviving. That's not true, you can reveal other DDs at the same time as your concealment breaks. I'd say it's the turning circle and rudder shift. Both great ships though, I think they are close enough that the ship your are better with is the deciding factor. And yet if any of them are moving towards Akizuki when they spot Akizuki, they will be revealed by Akizuki before they can turn and start running away. Harekaze will not win that gunfight. First because she's a gunboat but also because she has great stealth and gunpower. With a concealment build, you have 5.9km surface detection, which beats Z-23, Ognevoi and Kiev. You can spot and be spotted at the same time by a Benson / Kidd and probably Lo Yang . Only Kagerou and Harekaze beats you in term of concealment. But if you already know that a Kagerou/Harekaze is spotting, you can just rush them and force them to bail out, they are not big treat.
