this is my current hindenburg captain , my captain just reached 17 and i see the 3 unassigned points and want to do something with them.....

these four skills i'd like to keep, CVs are kind of rare and they usually dont bother striking me in my hind, plus i usually bring AA consumable

so what should i do with the 7 extra points, or rather, how should my 19pt captain look like so i can start building towards it?

The build I used in CW, although not optimal was;

PT, PM, EM, AR, SI, BOS, CE

I think in hindsight, I would ditch BOS and PM and get FP.

I also prefer hydro, reload module and spotter plane. To me the ships strengths are tankiness, amazing HE spammer w/ built in IFHE and incredible AP (at certain angles).

i feel like CW is a lot more cruiser vs cruiser action, and randoms it's more dodging BB shells, so im not that interested in fire related skills(FP/BOS/high alert)

PM is also something really good for CW, but not as much for randoms

i am kind of considering DE atm....

Very true, although I find the build effective still in randoms. I had used DE prior to CW and its very good. I feel like people really under estimate the HE buff the Hindy got as well.

In addition to your build I have PM, DE, and Vig. I realize Vig is kind of redundant with German hydro but since putting it on it has saved my bacon a number of times as the Hindi is big and slow turning and i like hunting DD's.

 

I have been toying with the idea of dropping PM and getting EL for those times that a CA flashes a broadside during a turn.

Frankly in many games with the hindy these are the basics

Priority Target = who is targeting me, over 2 and I get paranoid.

Adren Rush = late game + rammer = MG42 of 8 inch shells

Super Intend = because heals and hydro are fun

Concealment = shhhhh don't tell anyone where I am

I'd add in buffs to turret traverse, changing ammo types, and buff fire chance...then last points for the 19 build would be jack of all trades.

I just got mine, using original KM CA captain, so he has LS as a legacy from KBerg.

Is that a necessary skill for Hindy? I might trade it for AR.

I also run the dual fighter skill. Between that and Vigilance, I get plenty of torp warning. (I run DF instead of hydro)

EL is pretty much a default skill for all my cruisers.
