I've tried googling it but all I can find is people recording them playing it.. that doesn't help at all. Do operations give a bonus that I cannot see? Are they easier than Pvp? Is there cake personally delivered by Wargaming's CEO if we get 5 stars? Halp

Are fun, without the crap of Randoms, the chat is mostly serene. And they represent different levels of difficulty so you can practice, or simply murder bots for the sheer fun of seeing how much damage you can do. Operations are great, and kudos to WG for implementing them.

And special awRds as well such as the Dunkirk Operation last year.

377 Meatshield_No13 Members 833 posts 12,757 battles Report post #7 Posted January 8, 2018 The rewards such as flags, captains and premium time are a one time thing. The reason to do an Operation: Co-Op has low cash and XP rewards Randoms are well, random and some people get frustrated or just choose not to play Random. Operations reward a comparable amount of cash and XP as a Random battle of the same tier, for the same amount of time invested.

I cam farm ridiculous elite commander xp using these commanders in t6 premium ships. With a decent run on Aegis you cam get 2.2k base xp which is about the xp you get for a kraken in a t8 game as a t6 ship. T7 operations are a good fun place to play your Atlanta and grind commander xp and credits. With a Wyvern flag you cam get a million credits for a good run in either of the t7 scenarios. As Tai said you can also escape the Bee Ess that is random team mates. And CVs. CVs have minimal impact on the fun you are able to have. They also teach you game mechanics and positioning tios. Final frontier? Position yourself in the middle of the map of you lose - like your random BBs never do. Narai? Pool AA and protect important targets - your team mates in random. They teach you to angle by seeing how easy it is to punish the procession of broadside cruisers. Most of all thkug h they're a fun safe place for t6 ships. As a bonus, in Operations you get to kill CVs promiscuously. Nothing like sweeping across the north side of Aegis and burning all three CVs in a minute. 17,906 [WOLF5] HazeGrayUnderway Members 39,218 posts 31,549 battles Report post #14 Posted January 8, 2018 Operations are implemented to expand the PVE aspect of this game. It's a close to non-existent part of the game. Operations have even gotten some guys that don't do Co-op to try PVE. The more rounded the game is, the better. 706 [BROOK] TornadoADV Beta Testers, In AlfaTesters 3,164 posts Report post #15 Posted January 8, 2018 Ops can allow you to out-earn and reliably grind exp/free exp compared to randos. So people will usually get a 7 man division and run the Tier 7 Ops at will to power grind a line.

One positive thing is you can take a 7 man division it, so they can be a fun clan activity.

Halp Like this: Died early from overextending, but Aegis is an easy OP. This is a five star victory, I had free XP flag and a bonus credit flag, in Graf Spee. 6000 commander XP. I wouldnt normally bring Spee to an Op as its DPM is too low and it's too sluggish and slow, but it's ok in Aegis. The good thing about Aegis is I can run all my T6 premiums that I won't bring to Randoms because WG decided to destroy T5 and T6, and still have enjoyable gameplay with them. 10,399 [B2P] Taichunger Members 13,459 posts 44,054 battles Report post #18 Posted January 8, 2018 Here's another. Leander is just stupid good in Aegis: First in team score (base 1592 XP). Had Frosty Fir Tree camo and a Free XP and 50% commander flag. 11,000 commander XP. That's respectable production for a Random match. So yeah, OPs are great. Enjoy. All this at the expense of HE shells which I think is worth it. IMO Leander and Perth are so much more fun to play here than in random.

208 [KEGEL] SlightlyComatose Members 363 posts 16,988 battles Report post #24 Posted January 8, 2018 The Operations have been great way to grind out credits, FXP, commander XP and dust of those tier 6 prems. Running around in Sharnhorst, Atlanta, Belfast, etc has been especially profitable in the tier 7 group. Wondering if tier 8 Operations will ever find it's way into the game, now that would be something.

More credits and XP then co-op. Would be more popular if they would give some flag rewards for the weekly mission.
