An intersting observation.

  After my employer replenished my bank account today (Yee-Ha!), I decided to grab some more boxes while the gettin is good.

First thing I saw were Bismark boxes.  So I grabbed a five pack, totally forgetting that they were collectible containers, like the Yamamoto boxes.  (oops)  I have that collection done, so I got much needed credits instead- and a nice big bunch of special signals.

Then I decided to go for 5 of the biggest santa crates- to continue re-stocking Dragons, Hydras, etc.   Out of 5 boxes, THREE were ships, lol.   And all 3 were Gallants. (which I already have)  The other two had camos  (type 59's YAY!)

  Here's the interesting part:  Under compensation recieved, it said: none.   (or however they worded it)   So, War Gaming is saying that Gallant is worth absolutely nothing?  Don't you usually get doubloons for premium doubles from containers?  I know I do.  Just not this time.

 

  Now I haven't played my Gallant yet, but I didn't suspect it was THAT bad, lol!

When I got an extra Gallant, I got the captain, and the doubloon price for it, but you have to go look in the notifications to see the doubloon price added.  It doesn't come out and say it otherwise, iirc.

Duplicates?
If you “roll” a ship that is already in your Port, another ship will be reselected from the list of the ships that can be obtained in the Legion containers. In this case, you will receive a Supercontainer instead of the Legion container, and the ship with a Slot for her and Commander with 10 skill points will be added to your account.

If you “roll” a ship that is already in your Port and you have already received all ships available in the Legion containers, a Santa Claus Legion container will be displayed on the container ship. After opening this container, you will see the “rolled” ship, but she will not be added to your Port. Instead, you will get the amount of Doubloons that is equal to the cost of the ship, a slot, and a Commander with 10 skill points.

  That's exactly what happened- I was just pointing out that apparently, WG considers the cost of Gallant to be zero.   Because that's how many doubloons I got for each of those 3 duplicates.

Id open a support ticket as it should give you the dubloon value in place of the ship you already have.

So you have all the possible ships for that box already? Because according to that, the only way you should get dubloons now is if it can't replace the ship with another....

 

Might want to see if you have some SC's sitting there...

Yup. I already have all the premiums they're offering up in the boxes.   The 6 I didn't have when the boxes came out, I already got.   ANY ship I get now will be a duplicate.   I was actually hoping NOT to get ships, lol.  Or, failing that- USN or French duplicates cuz I could really use the extra captains.

  Just seemed weird (and funny) that no doubloons were given out in exchange for those Gallants.  Hence my comment that WG apparently thinks the ship is worthless, lol.

Send a ticket then, no idea why they'd stiff you on the dubloons...

Well, hold the phone.  I just logged back onto the game  and my doubloon total is noticeably larger than I remembered it being.   Must have been a bug, or they were just slow in arriving.

 

   I STILL think it's funny that when I won them,  the little blurb off to the side said their value was zero!
