Adorable, but not for anything serious.

I dunno, maybe if your ship get sunk, you can launch this boat as a life raft and continue the fight!

This is not (game name not to be mentioned).

If you want PT boats, their is a game for them.

If you want subs, theirs a game for them.

An Elco 80 foot PT boat.  All but useless against "real" warships, but cute.  :cap_rambo:  The US penchant for lots of weapons is evident.  The rocket launchers mounted proved useless as the boat wasn't stable enough to make them accurate even a little bit.  In terms of the game I'd disable the torpedo aiming module of the software and force the player to manually aim, just as PT captains actually had to do.  There is no fire control for the torpedoes.  That'd ensure they almost always miss unless you're point blank and then the ship you're attacking blows you out of the water...

But for the insane fanboi, I suggest the 40mm Bofors get replaced by the Thunderbolt Mk 15 mount with 4 x 20mm and 2 x .50...

@Murotsu Fire control for torpedoes on *any* ship was almost always manual for WW2 vintage. The closest thing to one was the torpedo data computer on the USN subs during late WW2.

Wrong!  All bigger ships had fire controls for their torpedoes.

That's the standard one on the mount itself on a US WW 2 destroyer or destroyer escort.  And, yes, that is an electro-mechanical computer.

An early Kriegsmarine one.

Every navy had something like this to aim their torpedoes and calculate target lead.  They just didn't put this stuff on small craft like PT boats.  The one exception I know of is the Kriegsmarine did put a simple one, like shown above on their S-Boote.

To add, here is an article of the use of such a system on board Fletcher-class USS Bennion in Surigao Strait.  She also got the honor of the kill for Battleship Yamashiro.

And, that's why at that same battle something like 40 + PT boats fired over 100 torpedoes and hit nothing...

I think the anti-aircraft capabilities of her torpedoes is dubious at best.
