Is the Hood any good now?

I just got the Gallant and the Hood from Santa Crates. Is the hood worth keeping? I heard it was bad when it came out is it still bad or is it worth keeping now? Thanks for any and all help.

I have always had fun in the hood.  It’s worth keeping.   Keep yourself really angled, and it can tank very well.

The AA on it is fun but planes have to get dangerously close...

The AA is fun if you're dealing with dive bombers and absolutely no HE has hit you at all as those Defensive Fire rockets crumble if you even look at them funny. Hood is a very poorly designed ship. Excellent speed and angled armor does not compensate for exceptionally bad AP, mediocre HE, and poor sigma and dispersion values.
