OP

This ship fires too fast and is only detected in smoke at 5.4km, while my Moskva is 12.6. 

Minotaur's are all at top of leaderboards everywhere as they are impossible to hit in smoke, and deal mega damage. God help if you give them broadside. You are done in less than 10-15 seconds. If you are angled, the chipping-away damage piles up quickly.

Let's get this done WG.

What? A squishy cruiser. Belay that. A very squishy cruiser.

Like Atlanta, must hide to be effective. Torps or AP into smoke and he's history.

Mino is not OP. It's a ship with certain strengths and a lot of weaknesses. It doesn't usually last long when spotted, and that's what balances the ROF. 

To fight a Mino in a Moskva... First rule is don't broadside. Ever. Move in enough and radar him with AP loaded. Splatter. Rinse and repeat. 

Or you could always turn out and sail out of his 15km-ish range while wiggling.

WG, please nerf our ability to whine and complain about pixelbotes. We'd really appreciate it if you did this, because we know our whining and complaining is really pointless, and all it does it take away from the game for others, and we know we shouldn't be doing that. Since we can't seem to help ourselves, we ask that you help us to help ourselves. It's like an addiction for us, WG, we have to take it one day at a time, and we can't do it alone.

That really didn't hurt it. The cruisers that got slammed don't have smoke. It is an extremely irritating ship to fight because of the non stop firing but it has a glass jaw and throws paint balls.

Wut? If very easy to kill a minotaur even if he is inside smoke. And since Mino only fires AP If you angle he cant kill you anymore.

A smart Minotaur player or anyone that has AP loaded at the moment will raise their aim to hit the superstructure which even when angled is easily penetrated by pretty much everything.

Besides that, having trouble with Minotaurs in a Moskva is rather ironic. Even Flamu himself claimed that the Moskva counters them pretty hard to due to decent armor, high HP, and hard hitting, fast flying AP. 

Bow in, radar, AP. It's easy. Even better if you alert teammates before popping radar so they get to shoot too.

Up until you saturate the superstructure. Also firing a bow on ship you have the chance of hitting the turrets and your shells will just bounce.

Very true but damage saturation is a problem for every class and HE has its own saturation issue with sections not being able to burn any more.

Yes, but with HE you dont care about angling or bow on. You cant bounce HE, the shell either pen or shatter. So even if the target angle/bow on you still cant hit bow/stern, superstructure, deck, side and if the shell pen you deal damage. You have a lot more areas to saturate.

 

While AP if you angle and the enemy cant overmatch you then he can only hit your supestructure and after it saturates you wont deal damage anymore. 

 

 

 

My point is, OP considers Minotaur a OP ship. Wich it itsnt, a simple angling/bow on and you mitigate most of that damage. While another cruiser would just change ammo and keep firing at you.

Other Weakness of British Cruisers or at least most of them anyway is not only are they squishy, but they are also limited to using AP ammo instead of getting the HE that most other Cruisers love using.

This is fascinating.  Warhips Today shows all Tier 10 cruisers win rate within 1 percentage point of 50%, both all time and the past 2 weeks. 

Please tell me where to find the magic Minotaur which melts Moskvas in 15 seconds. I need one of those!  

The Fiji probably is the strongest UK cruiser for its Tier. And it still doesn’t break the 51% threshold for the past 2 weeks. 

I don’t have time to replace “DD”with “Minotaur” but you get the idea:

None of the Tier X Cruisers need adjusting.  They perform pretty close to each other.  WR% is within 1.5%.  Minotaur's Dmg Avg is inline with the other short ranged specialist, DM.

I don't have a Mino, but it seems to look more fearsome than it really is. It makes a lot of noise but it's guns seem to go everywhere and are easy to bounce. If you can use radar they don't last long enough to even start moving again. Everyone hates them and as soon as your team sees one it gets focus fired into oblivion.
