I hate battles like that.  BBs undertiered are difficult to play.  However it does happen, and should be expected from time to time.

I don't mind being undertiered, I do mind having the ship I want to play being locked up for the next 17 minutes after I just got deleted from the sky by a dumb overpowered ship type. 

 

We ended up winning the battle, but the CV on their team got a Kraken. Should be all that needs to be said. Nerf them back into oblivion.

Broats, can you tell us what CV it was that trashed you?  Remember that you were sailing in a German BB, and the USN CV's you would be facing in tier 10 battles all have the ability to carry AP bombs ... which are particularly deadly to German BB's like your Bismarck.

 

Despite the fact that I have 3 high tier German BBs (i.e. the t10 GK and the t8 Bismarck and Tirpitz), I don't feel lots of pity for German BBs due to the fact that their citadels are all but unhittable.  And USN AP bombs are pretty much the only thing that can citadel them.  That said, it does seem like when AP bombs hit these German BBs, the likelihood of getting multiple cits seems much higher than when some other BB is trying to get them, so perhaps these AP bombs are a bit OP in this regard.  I don't know.

Yeah, don't listen to them. There are several folks who agree the AP bomb situation has gotten out of control. I don't mind CV's having a good strike but the AP bombs are basically a stealth nerf to the german BB line.

I was with a Moskva, and another T8 BB. Some of us have time that is worth quite a bit so we make the most of the little bit we get to enjoy the game.

 

Maybe one day you'll understand.

In a Bismarck that has ok AA. Moskova that has about the same AA and another tier 8 BB vs a tier 10 IJN carrier and you're shocked you got paddled? Pfft. If anyone who doesn't get it, it's you.

 

Against a tier 10 Hak, you need a Minotaur or Des Moines close by. Unless Moskova is rocking DFAA(and ill bet he was rolling hydro instead) you were hosed the second he locked you up.
