So if i spend the $75 on the 20 mega gifts worth it? I mean i already have ALOT of time and money in this game, Itd be nice for wargaming to guarantee a decent premium ship or two after spending that kind of cash. Whats everyone getting in the mega gifts?

You will need to wander the first couple pages of the forum. There are at least a half dozen threads on what people got from crates. 

 

Do check this thread as it seems to have the distribution of the prizes for the various size boxes.

Worth would probably be subjective depending on each player so the bigger question is whether you are spending on the hope of getting something specific or (touch wood for this) in case you receive a bad draw even with 20 containers as there are some who did not have the luck to receive anything nice.

Personally for myself i'll be getting 20 $3 boxes when my salary comes in for this month because its the most cost efficient choice for me.

i'm not everyone, but I gifted myself the 20X mega gifts, and am almost embarrassed at my 'haul'  in order....

Bought 80 of them 20 4 separate times

25,000 dubs

20,000 k free xp

over 200 of each of the camo's

Over 100 of each of the credit flags

Kamikaze ,Mutsu, Arizona, Alabama, Warspite, Belfast, Huanghe, Anshan, Loyang, Gremyashchy, Okhotnik, Leningrad, Kutuzov, Graf Spee, Dunkerque

May have one more but these were the ones I know of for sure

It took until the last two batches to get the Alabama, Kutuzov,Belfast

Its relatively high but don't count on probability to be consistent for each individual player.

This thread might help out...There are ships out there but it'll still be a gamble.

Only buy the crates where the items that are not ships are worth it to you as well. Even if you get lucky with getting lots of ships, you will get lots of the other stuff as well.

As CrazyHorse mentioned, crates are ultimately a gamble so just play in moderation if you have spare cash you don't mind spending. 

If you really do not wish to go through the luck of draw then buying them directly would be the best choice.

If you want ships, just buy some doubloons and take advantage of the sales right now in the tech tree. The drop rate for ships is not great this year, and you are not likely to end up with enough doubloons from your boxes to make any significant purchases, should you strike out on boats.

Out of my 42 Crates I got 2 Tier 5 and 1 Tier 6. All available on sale in the tech tree. Some people bought 20 Mega crates and got 0 ships. It's purely luck of the draw.

Ok so all I needed was the Gremy and the Nik. I got my 2 free containers and bought 5 $2.99's for $13.29.  I got the Gremy from one of the free ones and then 10,000 FXP from the second free one then I got The Nik from the first $2.99 one and 4x 1000 doubloons from the rest. It won't give you duplicates until you already have all of the ships on the list. Then duplicates net you the doubloon value a port slot and the ten point commander. I sent 10 crates to friends (2 x 5) and out of the ten only one got a ship and it was the Okhotnik.

I intend on getting the Megas and Bigs this weekend.  And a few for a clanmate.

I got lucky last year and got Gremy and Nik on my first two boxes. I also had all the other premiums as well. I sent out some gift boxes tonight and out of the 20-25 $1 boxes I heard about, one person got Mutsu. Others have reported getting 2 or more ships from 5-20 boxes. It all depends on RNGesus. The thing that is better this year, is the box contents are determined upon opening, so if you have the $$ to spend, getting the boxes in 20 box lots gets you more boxes than buying in small lots.

yes. bought the 20X mega, almost too much good stuff. on a whim, bought the 20X $3 and received, in order:

sims, okhotnik, oktyabrskaya revolutsiya, Leningrad, warspite, and Loyang, + 3k dubs + some more great camo and flags. have too much to play in the next month or so.  nice problem to have.
