Say what you will about some of the rule changes they implement, I think you can't fault Wargaming on their promotions.  Compared to other games, I really feel that you get value for money.

Take today, for instance.  After opening my two free santa's boxes and getting a tonne of signals I decided to buy 5 of the big prize boxes.  I got 30 Ouroboros signals (always welcome), 2 lots of 2,000 doubloons (even more welcome), a Gallant and a Giulio Cesare.  Those ships were on my want list and I picked them both, with other goodies, for $20.

I remember playing Star Trek Online where they would sell keys to open boxes and the boxes gave a really REALLY crappy chance of a ship.  If not a ship then really useless items that weren't worth anything.  Hats off to you, Wargaming.

I am completely neutral regarding this company. I think their business practices are fairly good for a fremium platform (the rate of ship releases is strong, I rarely feel like I have wasted money on purchases, etc.), but this is completely offset by their pretty poor customer service, clunky clan implementation, and derivative (of WoT) game design. WoWs could be an awesome game (it definitely has the engine and visuals for it), but instead it's just an 'okay' game, and that is 100% due to WGs lack of vision.

The Santa crates are excellent... but they're just a meager piece of the pie.

Decided to get 5 more.  Got a Huanghe (ho-hum but better than nothing), an Alabama (nice!), 30 Ouroboros, 30 Hydra, and 15 Type 59 camo.

Nice!!
