Do you think it'd be smarter to buy two of the 20x3 Big's, for a total of 40 chances to get some of the premiums I don't already have? I marked the list with the ones I already have (strike thru). Hmm.... I suppose I could do one of each for 125$.... That might be my best bet actually. My wife's grandpa gave me 75$, she can't complain!! I want everyone to picture me getting a Kutuzov, Kidd, Alabama, Atlanta and a Belfast please (Hey, I'll even take an Eugen at the end for the heck of it), lol. How long do these crates last for? I'm at work and I can't really check the store. I'll probably end up spending 50$ more on my next paycheck, hopefully they're still around two weeks from now. I don't mind camo's and flags, I do need some for grinding various tier 8 ships for ranked. Luckily I'm at tier 7 for most of the lines. After looking at what was available in the crates this year, I took the offer on bonus gold with credit card purchases and just bought the ships I wanted in the tech tree. Granted, I've already got most of the good ships they're offering in the crates so your experiences may vary. Didn't feel like playing the lottery just for a Nicholai. I bought some last year (all 3 sizes) probably spent $25-30 dollars. I would guess that I got that amount in camo/flags/dubloons. Sadly, not one ship. If you watch youtube videos of (then) community contributors it sure seemed like the odds of getting a ship were high enough that you'd think you'd get one. Do NOT fall for that trap. Buy the premium camos, flags, and the ships that are available - guaranteed return on your money. Otherwise, you're gambling, and you know what they say "the odds favor the house". I don't imagine WG would cut it's revenue on direct ship sales by putting a high probability of getting said ship(s) via crates. If they were totally open about your chances and told you a 5/3/2% chance to get a premium ship (DISCLAIMER - MADE UP % for talking purposes) based on LG/MDM/SM crate you'd probably either decide not to buy or you'd say buy 20 large crates figuring that you'd be guaranteed a ship (e.g., thinking 20 x 5% = 100% chance) but that's not how to calculate probabilities.
