I am looking to buy ships and not those containers. My original plan was to buy HSF Graf Spee (see my earlier thread on that) and Dunkerque. But then everything went on sale and almost everything is below my 50 bucks. I have a couple ideas in mind Dunkerque + HSF Graf Spee (I kind of see Spee useless now that Scharny is 5 bucks more) Dunkerque + Scharnhorst (I once had a 3 day test trial of Scharny, IT WAS FUN. I mean, I had more fun in Scharny than in any other ship. Also CRUISER KILLER PACK AHAHHAHAHHAH! ) Tirpitz (Yup, just Tirpitz) Scharny + Atlanta (BURN EVERYTHING AHAHAHHAHAHAH!) Scharny + Duca D'Aosta (Yes I know Duke has a big citadel, and AP shells kill it, ok maybe Duke isn't as great as I thought.) Atlanta + Duca D'Aosta (Cruiser POWER!) So what is everyones' thoughts? More importantly don't feel like you have to rush as these aren't going to go off sale today. Take your time, definitely get some opinions and then grab something you'll be pleased with. One of my clanmates pointed out to me a little while ago that the Scharn was on sale for doubloons in the tech tree, but it wasn't for cash in the premium shop. Myself, when I got the trial, the guns just didn't work for me. That opinion seems to be minority, so if you like it, go for it. Atlanta. Most of the time you're going to die, and die fast. But it's fun. A lot of fun. If you want a fun ship to blast away in, definitely yes. Just don't expect to do well in it very often. Don't have any of others, so can't say. I would suggest looking at LittleWhiteMouse's reviews of the various ships. In my opinion, the Scharnhorst has held up fairly well over the updates and remains a fun ship to drive. Yes, she'll see Tier IXs, but with her HE, rate of fire and speed, you can do well. Not to say you are invincible, but with proper handling you can hold your own. Atlanta has been power creeped and has become more difficult to do well in as of late. I'm not saying it is a bad ship, but it isn't as OP as it once was. The Tirpitz has recieved buffs, making her fairly close to the Bismarck, the main difference being the hydro and torps. She'll also be in matches against Tier X at times and most who have reached Tier X know how to handle a Bismarck/Tirpitz. The Dunkerque isn't a bad ship, but she is more of a cruiser killer then Battleship brawler. While she can do damage to a BB, you pretty much have to be looking at the BBs broadside within a certain range to get good damage with her. She'll also see Tier VIIIs and her guns aren't going to help you much. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I would do Scharn = Duca d Osta both have served me very well and they are really fun to play ships. Scharn is a tier 7 tirpitz and it makes a ton of credits. Duca is fast and agile and tends ot make good bank. Atlanta is a really niche ship you would need to be good at stealth tactics to use it well and Dunkerque will be around for awhile just like hsf graf spree will. I have more fun in the SCharnhorst to tell you the truth than the Tirpitz. I would read up on the littlewhitemouse reviews for the ships you really want. I am just giving you my two cents and ps santa crates are giving out only signals and camos most of the time with the occasional tier 6. Your best bet would be to get Scharn and Duca take this from the guy who owns a lot of prems they are unique ships that will serve you well. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You need to check out the tech trees....many ships there are available for doubloons since this patch. Even rare ones! I would use the 50 to buy doubloons. I used to have very good luck with the ship but something has changed in the last 6 months, it's probably me but man I just can't make it work anymore compared to my other tier VI BB's. She can be difficult to master because of her main gun arrangement but once you get the hang of how to fight her, she'll reward you. Her guns are pretty powerful for their size and her HE starts fires like a Roo-Shin Cruiser. Her AP is pretty lethal at intermediate to close ranges. Her maneuverability is great for a BB and she's a lot more robust than folks think she is. Dunk was my main ship in the last Ranked season and I did damn good with her. A Gud Bote!
