I just got 2 5k free xp crates

But i checked the missions everything, no clue how i'd of earned those crates.

 I got them after a game in my molotov(107k damage 1.7k base xp) that was a win.  I feel like im missing something obvious here.(i was playing games earlier than that but i dont think anything warranted the crates)

Sounds like you just completed the recent mission with the 2 free crate reward.  :)  I got the same 5k free XP from both of mine as well.  Congrats.

As Capt mentioned, you got it from a mission.

I myself got 5k free xp and 1 day premium.

That was most likely the 'Winter Mystery' Mission chain that you completed, it Awards two of the crates that also got when the Gangut (or Oktyabaraskaya whatever) was released. They would either hold 250 doubloons, 5k Free XP or 25 hours of Premium.
