My next ship line

Based on my experiences in game, I've determined that the next ship line I will unlock will be the UK Cruisers because I want to sit in smoke from 15 KM away and take out a Montana single handedly too.

Yah there's salt here.  I won't deny it.  I have honor.  As for the Emerald, I'd just skip past it with free XP.  Ya'll can laugh all you like.  The post is meant to illustrate how OP the Minotaur is.  That cruiser shouldn't have smoke, it's a balance issue, so go ahead and lol at that.

A midget in a rowboat with an airsoft gun can delete a Minotaur at any range. Minotaur is not an autowin button. And she has a very hard time penetrating armor at 15km, plus a hard time hitting stuff with her shell arcs if they're maneuvering at all.

If you got deleted singlehandedly by a Minotaur at 15km , you were doing something very wrong. Like sitting broadside and absolutely still for several minutes. Mino's not going to be ripping off large chunks of hp quickly at that range. Yes, she'll get good 500-100hp hits on superstructure, but it takes time to do significant damage with dinky little 152mm ap shells.

Laugh all you want but the Emerald isn’t a bad ship. It must be played to its strengths and is unforgivable if it charges in and gets into gun duels. 

I play it like an American dd. It’s fast, agile, and the guns are accurate and punish cls. I support dd capping but keep the distance open from the dd. I harass it with guns but hits aren’t punishing and I’m not great at getting hits from 8 km but the enemy now has a dd and cl driving it out. If a cl shoes it’s smoke torps and lots of accurate shots. 

Then I hide behind islands or mingle with bbs and punish cruisers with citadels while they are distracted. 

I love late in the game with a bb worried about bbs on my team I charge and torp. No guns. They do nothing. Stay as stealth as I can. Present a small profile. Generally by the time they realize I’m running at them the torps are swimming. I split two last game throwing torps both ways and sank 2 in 30 seconds. A 3rd bb died a minute later all while worried about my supporting bbs. 

Im keeping my Emerald. I play it well, but if I get over extended or careless about showing the broadside I’m toast. 

Play it cautiously at first or support the dds capping then fall back and you can have monster games. I rack up citadels in my emerald
