Help!

I bought the Lion tonight, but don't have enough credits to buy the 2nd hull yet, and I really don't wan't to play the ship without it..should I sell the Monarch(which I really like)to buy it, or just grind out another 5m in credits?

Half of me says, you end up in T-9, T-10 games more than getting T-8 and lower matches, so sell it. The other half says, you like it, keep it. Also, far as upgrades go, I'm set for all slots.

And please don't judge me by my stats, I know I'm a tater, and I'm working on that....56% WR in the Monarch for a potato ain't bad?

Thanks for your help.

5 mil silver is nothing, if you like the damn thing so much just play a couple games in a high tier premium and get the creds. You'll sell both of them eventually, you may not think so now, but once you get the conqueror these two become pointless.

Point taken...played one game in the lion stock, and already retrained my captain...

Thank you for the the sage advice!

I kept Lion when I bought Conk and prefer it to Conk. Lion faces a wider range of ships, including T7, and can carry better than Conk for that reason. It is relatively a better ship. You may make the same decision.

If you don’t have Missouri and you have the 750k exp, get it. She is a creditearning beast. If you don’t have the exp, work towards it. She is worth it and you would never ever have creditissues

Thank you all for replying!  I sold everything in my inventory to upgrade to the hull and 2nd guns.

I've played about five games in it...not going so well, lol! Hopefully I figure it out.

The Lion is worth every penny and inch of XP. It's a helluva beast of a ship. Her HE is godly, and she's one of the few BB's where taking the reload booster IMO is 100% required as you can pretty much time it perfectly to coincide the first salvo fire and put out with the second salvo. You can easily get 3 ships burning all at the same time within a minute and a half. And the AP is the IMO the best at tier, as it's strong as, frankly, any other AP, but far less likely to overpen your fellow BB's and CA's. And that heal... my god the zombie heal.

I love the Lion and can't recommend her enough. She reminds me of the Warspite: the ultimate Anti-DD BB as her HE, tight dispersion, and nasty heal make her very adept at chasing and killing DD's. If you liked the Monarch you'll love the Lion as she's pretty much a straight upgrade in every appreciable way.

Also, make sure to pick up AFT. It gets your Bofors to ~5.0 km and they SHRED any Planes that even remotely get close.

Good advice here.  I'll keep this in mind when I take her out.

I also just purchased Lion, but won't take her out until she is fully upgraded.

I found Monarch to be a decent, if unremarkable ship.  She isn't bad in any way, but I definitely enjoyed my time in Amagi and North Carolina better.
