Its been a solid 5 months since I've seen this map (Our team roflstomped the enemy. 12-2 I think). Honestly thought it was removed.

I remember way back seeing it all the time. I especially remember being in my tier 3 St. Louis with no speed, no range and nowhere to hide. Ahhh the good old days...

I remember that. Especially being the only tier 3 against 11 tier 5s. Mm.

Should really be a T5-T7 map, the BBs aren't accurate enough to nuke everything at will nor have to deal with torpedo spam. At high tier it just isn't fun but I loved it when I still saw it in mid tier matches

Last time I had that map was pre-Pensacola buff.

 

Got stalked by an Iowa for most of the game, only took 3 hits the whole battle.

 

Of course, all three were citadels :/

you can't hide behind islands that are not there.

when you edge ride into a corner on the ocean map, you fall over the edge.

epicenter on ocean map is better than epicenter on rectal tears of the desert.

the last time I played on an ocean map, the green team did not have a CV, the reds did. guess which team I was on!!

they could fix the ocean map by putting 40 or 50 islands on it.

I really like the ocean map, a nice change of pace and a real shake up to the island humping meta that PvP has become. Teamwork is far more important on the open map than on the normal crappy maps that turn the game into a first person shooter. I suppose with the new smoke changes though, Ocean will be far more hated than it was before.
