Use some common courtesey in game please and stop doing clan recruiting in the chat

  It is a common courtesy to not try to recruit people in the game chat.  Players do not want to get recruited using the chat.  For one its extremely annoying to see a blunt oh JOIN MY CLAN in the chat.  Come on guys.  There is a time and a place for recruiting players.  If people want to join your clan I am positively sure they will come and find you.  If I see someone clan recruiting in game and I have the miss behavior in chat reports available guess what.  Instantly reported.

 That's great and all if you want to recruit.  I'm not trying to stop you guys from doing that.  But there is a section here in the forums if I'm not mistaken, SPECIFICALLY for clan recruitment.  Please stop clogging up the game chat with that clutter.  For those that are already in clans and see that probably think it's just down right annoying.  

 I don't see it as often as it use to be in chat.  But when it does happen.  Yea mute button and a couple reports for you.  I do not recruit for my clan nor do I plan on recruiting for it.  So please keep the common courtesy in mind and just don't do it.  Players would much rather play the game then get bugged by people trying to spam clan recruiting adverts in the chat.  Cheers.

I just ignore it, its usually BR clans or extremely tomato clans that recruit in chat.

I don't see a problem with a single "Hey there we are clan XYZ and we are recruiting, PM me after the match if you are interested." isn't a problem but if they continue to spam it I will agree with you.

 It just gets old because it makes the clan seem desperate for members.

I think ive only seen clans post recruitment in chat three times in my entire warships career, and for the most part they kept it short. Seems like a rare, and fairly tiny problem to have.

LOL, I've seen some pretty funny responses to clan recruitments in chat.

 

 Join [XXX] we are looking for 6 players, a microphone and Teamspeak is required.

 Why would anyone want to join your smelly clan?

 Yeah, and why would we even want to talk to you?

 Wait a minute, "smelly"? What do you think it smells like?

 Well, I'm sure it don't smell like roses.

 I think it smells like bull <bleep> cause that's what these recruitment messages are.

I agree. I haven't seen it happen many times either, and any clan that randomly recruits like that isn't going to do well anyway. Recruiting in chat is basically announcing that you suck.

I mean think about it guys if someone wants to join your clan instead of someone trying to hound them to join wouldn't you rather have them seek you out?

You first problem as I see it is "common courtesy" This is the internet  good luck finding it. Your second problem is some clans don't use social media,the game is their billboard. Your third and final problem is complaining about this here.Where my guess being the Clans in question don't bother with the forums.

then how are they going to seek you out if you don't advertise your clan, if they never heard of it?

Haven't people said that less than 20% of the players use these forums? So while that's great to post there is it really effective?

I rarely see it in game and there's nothing wrong with people asking. A lot of times they are new casual clans looking for people.

So it is what it is and not worthy of useless reports. That just makes you seem petty IMO.

in case you haven't notice,  about 95% of the playerbase don't even check or heard of the forum. So good luck

Well that's unfortunate for those players then isnt it?  Either that or they could google the clan and it would take them to the forum page.  I mean there are ways of looking for a clan.

Its not really an issue, and there isn't a rule against it in the first place. Unless its a person spamming the message repeatedly every few seconds over the whole battle.

Every time that I recommend in chat that people come to the forums I get a "meh" response. I'd venture too that relatively few players even view YouTube videos. This may have a lot to do with why there are so many mediocre to bad players who don't ever get any better.

My experience has been just the opposite. I find more players asking if a clan is taking members than clans recruiting. Course I only play PvE so with the smaller numbers of humans involved in a match, less likely to get lots of chat spam. Every once in a while someone puts out a beginning of the game recruitment bit, but it is really pretty rare and personally they don't bother me at all. Have played lots of WoWS and the game seems pretty free of the recruitment spam I find in lots of other online games.

So, you expect clans, the vast majority of which may not even understand the forums exist, to somehow gain members by telepathy? Honestly, I think I've seen an actual recruitment maybe 3 times in like 5300 rounds. It's really not an issue. More since they don't use the forums, putting this thread on the forums is...well, it's not going to work. Lol.

Never seen someone recruit in a match. Doesn't seem to be an epidemic.  I have seen people ask someone about their clan, asking to join. But never clan members recruiting. How many times have you witnesses it before you decided to come cry about it on the forums? Once? Twice? lol

The only ones that annoy me are the ones that need to use 5 messages to get their message out...most are single messages that get the whole point out w/out spamming chat & don't bother me.

Our unspoken policy is only to post up a "We are recruiting" message towards the end of a match, and only if our division wrecked faces and carried the game.

If it's the end of the match who cares I mean I probably wouldn't see it @DerKrampus at least you guys have an unwritten rule on that one.  But most just decide to blab off in the first 30 seconds of the match unfortunately.  From what I've seen.

Well, if you call attention to your clan and then suck, it looks bad, doesn't it?  But if you own it, you then reserve the right to say "and if you want to be a part of that, contact us."  lol
