Not sure how many may have noticed, but if you have the gold and don’t want to get the 1yr plus flag bundle, there is a 15% discount on 1year if premium in game. 20,400 gold instead of 24,000. It looks like it’s going to be around for the same time the bundle is in the shop.

20,400 is normal full price for a year.  24,000 would be paying one day at a time.

For those of us with second accounts, who do not play them much.  keeping the doubloons in the account is the better deal.

So if we need more XP/Credits for a day, we just buy Premium for that day.  We get much better than 1/2 off that way.

Just checked my records.

Last Year, (8/7/16) 1 year Premium was on sale for $74.99 US.  I bought it.

It came due around this Thanksgiving due to some bundle deal 30 days, a couple weeks, and other off prizes taking it from August to November.

Stretched it out another months with a Lieutenant bundle thing.

Today, the price is it's $81.99 US with a ton of flags.  Price difference from last year for me is $7 US for those flags.

If the half-price thing came out around Thanksgiving 2016, I didn't spring for it.

All things considered....   I'm getting it.

1 year Premium plus flags is a good deal.  I am surprised at the attitude, "I'll keep my change purse closed and cut off my nose to spite my own face...that'll show ya WG!"

I pretty much suq at this game, but I love it so I'll pony up and say, "Thank you suh, can I have another? ( Cockney...Oliver Twist)"

Happy Christmas!

The game is telling me regular cost is 24,000.

Isn't the price to purchase 20,400 doubloons similar to the offering in the premium shop for the 1 year plus the flags?

Probably. My original intent was to point this out to people who may have a substantial gold reserve already and wouldn’t have to spend more real cash. Since this is on for almost 3 more weeks, there are also others who could amass the gold from Santa containers.

Another way to do it.  Get the Admiral's Bounty ($59.99) and add a Captain's Bounty ($36.99).   Total cost = $96.98.  But that gets you 60 days premium plus enough to buy a years premium with a few dubs left over.  So you'd end up with 420 days of premium and about 100 dubs.

Better yet, see if you pick up dubs in the Santa Crates.

Regular price IS $100..  You are right.

20,400 doubs comes to 83.39 US.

Premium shop price is $81.99 US and it comes with a couple hundred flags.

...

One day (purchased once at a time) is $1.25 US for each.  Just having the Doubloons in the account would allow a user to 'switch' premium on when they are ready to play.

This would work out for those who are unexpectedly off-the-grid for a week or four.

Folks keep asking how they can manually turn it on/off....  That's how.
