It is an ancient Unicum,
And he's pink as pink can be.
By thy purple stats and all that's that,
How did this come to be?

"A Saipan I did dare obtain,
The finest of the line.
A 19-point commander bold,
To the the ship I did assign.

My planes they flew, into the blue,
Of a morning clear and bright.
Two valiant groups of airmen brave,

With torpedoes in their might.

The smoke I saw, a DD flashed,
As it tried to hide from me.
Another close 'twas on my side,
I told him, 'Friend, do flee!'

A manual drop I carefully planned,
With air groups three and four.
I sent their fish into the smoke,
The destroyer would be no more."

Gods save thee ancient unicum!
From the pink that ain't so hip! –
Why look'st thou so? –  "With my cross-drop,
I sank the allied ship!"

Coleridge, I believe, in an opium-fueled vision of the future...
