So last year it was spend money and gamble to get the Nikolai and Gremyachy. This year what ships will Wargaming include to satisfy  your gambling needs? I think Okhotnik, Belfast or Kutusov.

I have most if the ships but the other rewards are nice. I hope they put a year of premium on sale for half price tbh.

Yeah that would be nice.

1) I will be surprised if they even do crates this year.

2) If they do have crates given the general trajectory of prizing this year (Birthday, Thanksgiving) they will be nowhere near as good as last year's.

Still have 1300 camo (200% xp) in stock from last year :’)

And everybody knows it; watch the Famous Flamu video when you buy and open them!

That was normal cycling, they will return. If they do have the boxes again this year I will only buy a few but I wouldn't mind getting either/both of the Duca's or the Giulio Cesare.

Thanks but I should have expanded to say that the two ships had specifically been bought back by WG as a "consequence" to changing the smoke mechanic. So it's entirely possible that I could sell my Kutozov because it's become a crappy bote but then get stuck with it again in a SC.

I used Kutozov as an example - I wasn't going to return that ship for any reason.

Missing ships in my lineup:

Kii, Albany, Kidd, Oleg, Molotov, Graf Zeppelin, Nelson, and that Italian battleship.

Nelson is a free XP ship, I am not sure it will be available in the santa crates.

It is not gambling.  Gambling is taking a chance to win.  Period.  With Santa Crates, you win every time.  It may not be what you want, but its still a "win".

Put your money in a slot machine (or any other casino game) and you take a chance.  That is gambling.

Given the recent legal rulings and other discussions surrounding things like Santa Crates, I would be surprised if they offer them again this year, (And saddened, to be honest).

Personally, I don't believe that WG would be doing anything wrong in offering them, but all it takes is a few players complaining about what they didn't get in their boxes to screw it up for the rest of us.

I hope they bring them back like last year, since I ended up pulling Texas, Anshan, and Błyskawica from just 5 crates.

Since they are still trying to figure it out so I doubt the Graf would be in the boxes.

The Nikolai and Gremy are not available through normal methods and haven't been for a long time.

Yeah, I agree with what you say.

I do hope they offer the Santa Crates this year.

They almost certainly will. WG will offer all sorts of ways to part the fools from their money.

On the bright side, I still think WG will offer the Santa’s Crates - The Belgian Rulings & the Hawaii Senator’s legislative efforts were already on the radar when the Halloween Crates were offered so WG has nothing to lose by offering the crates at Xmas.   There are much more line-stretching implementations that really set of the ire at the vid game industry (e.g. EA - Star Wars Battlefront 2) and focused the attention the game industry is now under by the lawmakers.

I would expect the game industry will continue to milk the loot crate profitability until some laws get implemented to set the parameters for legality, which may be a while.  I agree w/ your assessment of WOWS in that WG’s loot crate system actually avoids laws targeting lottos, sweepstakes and traditional gambling concepts in general since you’re actually getting something of reasonable digital value for each crate purchase.

Learn what gambling means https://www.thefreedictionary.com/gambling

if you bought a crate with a guaranteed ship you wanted it wouldn’t be gambling. If you buy a crate with a bunch of items you can win, want a ship, and get something else it’s gambling. Why is it so hard to understand?

Not sure why people keep asking for the Kitakami.  WG has categorically stated that it will never be returned to WOWS and the game files have been removed/erased.  On the Arkansas B, it is not a gift/prize ship that is never supposed to be given out again, but it has not been removed from the game.  It is a reward strictly for beta testers.
