I'm wondering what everyone thinks about my cv captain skills, just want some input on what to change and what to keep.

Agreed about evasive maneuver is a bad skill to choose, generally.  Slower planes = more lost to AA, and longer turnaround time.

Expert rear gunner isn't great at this tier either (Taiho).  Most of your opponents will know how to strafe, so the rear gunners are not helpful.

Consider 'Dogfighting Expert' for an extra 10% ammo, as the IJN fighters tend to run out strafing much faster than USN fighters.

Demolition expert is OK, though Taiho is not known for great dive bombers like the USN line.

Concealment is always an option, so you can get closer to the action without getting spotted.

AFT is also an option to extend your AA range, perhaps over allied ships late in the game.  Manual AA would make your AA more powerful, but with DF it isn't as useful.

Dogfighting Expert is over Evasive Man.

CE is after Air Supreme

AFT or Manual next but not really
