Hydroplane attack boats!

Ya!  I have a brilliant idea.  Why not add fast hydroplane attack boats like the Pegasus type class that were developed.  I am not sure if they are still in service however. Just make it a choice in co-op where all the ships/boats would be of this type. Fast action and some, especially young players, just might like this mode and the fast action.  Maybe more players and $ for WG.  Ya think?  Brilliant idea....right? I never cease to amaze myself. Comments? Also, are these still in service along with other fast hydroplane boats? I am not up on this.   GO FAST!

Tier 0.25?  You know, something like that, as long as it was a separate mode, wouldn't bother me.

And no, not a swamp boat with Bubba in the back with his .30-06.  But this...

According to the wiki article they served 26 years and were taken out in 1993, probably replaced by those new littoral combat ships.

AI torpedo boats that attack all players from both sides until they are gone, they arrive behind the spawn as the enemy is spotted and continue to attack through out the battle. Small damage pinatas that can kill you on top of your enemy. call the battle mode Total Kaos. Randomly place underwater Mines through out the map { not mine fields} hit a mine lose 1/10th health. but at the same time receive bonus exp for finding it. Put a Kraken in a random battle {sail in her waters and Die" bonus achievement Survivor award" one 24 hour premium} just other fun things to avoid.

Yeah, those funky air cushion hovercraft things.  Or maybe it refers to the ship that carries them, TBH I forget.  Getting old sucks rocks. ;)

Littoral combat ship primarily operates in the littoral zone, which is a fancy word for coastal areas near the shores and beaches and river deltas

It was just an idea. They did and do exist.  Haul azz and kill.  Might be a cool mode.  It will not happen.  None of my ideas have ever happened!  Just trying to create a more broad appeal. No harm in that. Watch!  In a year they will have a hydroplane attack boat mode....yup. Maybe.  Could happen. Dunno. Heh.

Might be. It just would have to stand outside the regular game mode. Plus, it's outside the game's (admittedly very loose) timeframe. Hell, I've suggested torpedo-boat races before myself.

PT's kinda sucked but did some good duty.  PT 109 helped get JFK elected president.  Joe Kennedy saw to that.  BUT hydroplane boats are NOT WWII PTs.  Totally different. Totally. Also PTs were really not all that fun despite what McHalles Navy TV show depicted. Not all fun and games. Ha. Nope.

Here are some pic of the USS Pegasus(PGH-1)  and USS Tucumcari (PGH-2). The Pegasus was docked across from my Dad's ship at Little Creek Amphib base in the early '80s, always loved looking at it when I got the chance. Must be a blast to drive it!

PT boats with respawns would be HILARIOUS to play, even if they can only fire 1 salvo of torps per spawn. I would play the SHHHIIIT out of PT boats, especially, judging by WoWS mechanics, they'd have like 2.5 km detection range.

From DeadMeats post - it looks like you are suggesting a hydrofoil.  Below is an actual hydroplane...  It is not the same and hydroplanes turn like crap  - absolute and total crap.

My dad raced an S class hydroplane (much smaller than the Unlimited class in the screenshot) back in the mid- to late 80's very early 90s.
