Seriously, I don't mind waiting another minute or two so I can get a playable match.

Anyone looking to avoid this, if you are in que for more then a couple minutes, back out and reset it.

Yeah... I remember going up against a Taiho and an Ibuki in my Mogami.  Alone.  That wasn't even a little fun.

T10's in the early hours of Monday Morning usually ends up like this when CV's decide to enter the match.  Your best bet is when you see one CV in queue at T10 to just pick a different tier as it increases the chance of getting these battles.

 

I too remember the days of CBT when you'd get dozens of these matches in a row.  The only nice part about them (and now) is that the XP/Credit return is scaled for the match... you do ok on both in small matches provided you hold up your end of the bargain.

It gets blamed on the CVs most of the time, and most of the time it's the CVs fault, but I'd say in 25% of every late night clusterfart drops I end up in, both CVs have been in queue for less than a minute before it slams a 3v3 or 4v4 on ya. It just don't make no sense, I tell ya.

MM  can only deal with what people are queuing into the game with - it can't magically make different or more players to appear .

WG ought to dump CVs into a 4 - 8CV vs. 4 - 8CV match, if MM takes too long and there is an abundance of CVs.

No surface combat ships whatsoever.

Don't play underpopulated tiers during low population hours and you won't get MM flushes. The idea that you could 'wait a minute longer' and 'get a good match' is a fallacy; at least some of those other players waited like 5 minutes longer and didn't get a good match.

The MM is complete and utter horsesh*t in this game. Tier 6, 7 and 8 are the most popular tiers played and the MM sh*ts in 2/3 of these on constant basis. Of course, there is also the above mentioned phenomenon ... which is just as ridiculous.

I got a 3 on 3 match last night at II/III.  It was intense.  The wait was a little over 3 min.

Wonder if WG has altered the params of the MM?

Here's a thought. After 5 minutes and the second cv gets in Queue, then lock them in place so they can't exit and then mm fills it up with everything else that comes and launch it after another 30 or 60 seconds.
