ARP Voices and Seagal's removed?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but the recent patch has seen the disappearance of the ARP voiceovers and the other voiceover options; such as Seagal's. It did not say anything in the patch note about the removal of these features, so I was hoping this is only a bug and WG will soon clean it up and fix it. Though if this is intentional, then I'm very disappointed since I've been using the ARP voiceover for a long time now.

I am thinking this was part of a "fix" for the ARP voices still enabled when you had the ARP content hidden but were using the captains as normal IJN captains. You still had their voices even though all your voice settings were set to override the ARP voices. I am sure they will eventually make everyone happy, the people who like the content, and those who don't. Just give them some time.

Don't know about the ARP voices, but Seagal's been running into trouble with sexual harassment claims (again) lately. It was only a matter of time before WG distanced themselves from him because this obviously isn't good publicity for WoWS. All they need to do now is replace his portrait with a generic captain.

I hope ARP options are gone. It would be nice if it is all deactivated.

I was wondering about this myself. I only use arp/hsf voices and if they are gone there is no point to playing. I hope it is just a bug. Before when this happened I could use the actual captains and it still have the voices, but not even that works. What I can say for sure is I am not buying any more microtransactions or ingame items until it is fixed, and it has me hesitant to even buy premium account time ever again because the time I do have is just wasting away because I am not playing without my anime voices. Like I said in the recent talking ship and other vidoes - It is bad enough that most of the missions are pvp only, but for them to mess up both the anime voices and the voices in the operations mode is just too much and makes the game unplayable for me. This may sound like a minor nitpick to some but if you have ever watched any of my gameplay videos on my youtube channel you will know just how much I use anime voices. It has been a part of my game for over 2000 battles. Anime voices are why I did the arp missions, why I bought the high school fleet stuff. I didnt care one bit about the hsf ships I just wanted the captains to put on the carriers. Anime voices are also why I bought graf zepplin because I wanted Thea and her voice as well as Akeno, but none of them work either. Given that so many voices are messed up I am thinking bug, but we will see. Guess I will play another game until it is fixed.

Wargaming broke the voices again but are too stubborn and narrow-minded to admit it.

Totally agree with this, for some, like myself, started this game bacause the Arpeggio content. I am really annoyed that I bought the HSF content, meaning real money, things not working really pisses me off. While CS just has the brilliant idea of reinstalling the game (which doesn't fixes the issue by the way), and no official announcement of thi problem. Instead of adding more content, WG should focus on fixing the existing non working content.

I support you on the idea of not buying ANYTHING until they fix this issue, and I was really thunking about buying the USS  Kidd...

In the US, you are innocent until proven guilty (except in the court of public opinion).

This may not be the legal system of Russia, but then again, they don't have a notion of 'Sexual Harassment' being a terrible thing..  To them, people are people.  Men are expected to pursue women (and not other men).

I'm fairly certain these 'claims' have nothing to do with the game.  I saw one of his ads playing recently, so...  I'm sure it's just a bug.

On the bright side, my game hasn't frozen since they did that.  It was getting pretty peeved with that every 3-4 games -- right when the battle was getting good.

Still broken for me... if there is some fix that I'm not aware of, I'd love to know.

Just add a '1' to each of the two filenames.   Works.

The ARP girls are complaining about sexual harassment.  Seagal in his Missouri is off in a training room battling against the entire ARP fleet.

Stay tuned for details.

It's a bug that can be fixed by deleting the files mentioned later in this thread and it'll fix them.

But it requires that you MUST set the game to Standard Voice as National will still have them all being voiced by the Japanese Captain.  Apparently they [edited] up and have the captains just tagged as "Japanese" since you can reassign them to any IJN ship now.

This along with the random model change done to ARP Takao isn't mentioned as being fixed in the update (it suddenly picked up the Imperial Chrysanthemum last patch)
